Goodness me  Don't let me leave it so long between YNAB reconciliations again! :rotfl: Only been about 4 days I think but I had a purse full of receipts (again
) and loads of tiny transactions that I hadn't recorded and the whole thing was a giant mess!
Still, only had to budget fiddle to the tune of £1.04 - extra :rotfl: Yep, it seems I had £1.04 more in the bank account than I should have, and I can't for the life of me figure out where it came from :rotfl:
Still, there are worse problems to have, right?! :rotfl:0 -
MOrning chums :hello:
Goodness me I'm in a grumpy mood this morning! WEnt to bed really early and slept pretty well so no excuseLay in bed messing about on the internet all the time thinking I should get up and have breakfast outside in the sunshine, but didn't
then finally got up about 9, thinking 'I should have started work now!'
Came downstairs and neither of us did any washing up yesterday so the kitchen was a tip so I stomped round sorting that out, all the time thinking the whole house is a bloody tip, and I am SO bored of living among boxes and half decorated walls and falling of plaster - I'm FED UP OF IT!
Ah well, feel slightly better now I've had some breakfast:rotfl: and I'll strt work in a minute so all is not lost.
Going to the dentist later (at 2.30 - took me a while to figure out why my friend was laughing... say it out loud... :rotfl: ) Having a wisdom tooth out, which in itself isn't much fun but will hopefully get rid of the background toothache I've had for weeks with occasional moments of searing agony...
Then a friend is coming round this evening
Won't go back to work after the dentist, will just potter about and tidy up instead. And try, yet again, to get on the flylady bandwagon!! :eek:0 -
Right, I have drunk my tea (starting with small achievable steps
) :rotfl: and have signed up for the flylady email list again and read through the babysteps.
I'm going to try not to get ahead of myself this time...and just start with the babysteps
Day 1: Beginners BabySteps: Day 1 – Shine Your Sink
After you do this, you will keep it shiny by drying it out after each time you use it and
making sure when you go to bed that it is shining so it will make you smile in the morning.
This is how I get to hug you each day! That shiny sink is a reflection of the love that you
have for yourself.
Indeed - I did not shine my sink yesterday (or even wash the dishes :rotfl: ) and I most certainly did NOT feel the love as I was rummaging through yesterday's crusty dishes to find a bowl for my porridge:eek: :rotfl:
So sink is now shined and dried out with a tea towelAnd that's all I'm doing for today - no trying to catch up by thinking 'I'll just declutter the bedroom' - NO! Shine my sink
:rotfl:
And now I'd best go and do some work...:rotfl:

Back from dentist, curled up on sofa with hot water bottle, The Waltons and my knitting
Feels quite decadent on a Tuesday afternoon :rotfl: although my face does hurt rather a lot... No bleeding though fortunately :j
Yawnity yawn yawn yawn0 -
Ow! Ow ow ow ow ow! In sympathy, you understand. Was your grumpiness connected to the ow-ness of the dental appointment? Mind you, I was grumpy at the bank this morning, and it had nothing to do with anything other than the hole in the wall spitting out the cheques I was trying to deposit
Enjoy the knitting2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Well I was grumpy this morning, which had nothing to do with the tooth :rotfl: Slightly less grumpy afterwards, although in pain! No excuses really, nothing frustrating had even happened
Sometimes you just wake up like it (or I do, at least!)
:rotfl:
Distracted this evening by lovely friend coming round for a nice chat :j :j :j0 -
Well I didn't wake up grumpy this morning, despite a fairly rotten night's sleep - between my sore face and Mr Daffs getting a cold things were rather, well, not peaceful here last night :rotfl:
Still, I woke up at half 7 and instead of lying there poking about the internet for an hour, I got up and dressed and had breakfast in the garden with my Country Living magazine treat from yesterday :j :j :j Most pleasant - should do it more often! :j :j
Banks done too :j all in working order.
Lovely to get up to a clean shiny sink this morning :j
Flylady day 2: Today I want you get up and get dressed to lace-up shoes right
when your feet hit the floor in the morning. This means fix your
hair and face, too.
FlyLady Tip of the Day:
To make it easier to get dressed each day; pick out your
clothes the night before.
Well, I've been doing flylady on and off for long enough to know to get dressed first thing, and I usually do it anyway. Actually did shoes and hair and everything too - usually do before starting work but today I did before breakfast and everything too.
Just put on yesterday's clothes which were still on the bathroom floor - does that count?:rotfl:
Have a good one today folks! :j0 -
