Cheery's buttling diary: tea in one hand, plant pot in the other, running shoes on

I know, it's exciting isn't it?
Well I've put all my clothes away, cleaned the bathroom, hoovered bathroom and bedroom (hoovered round piles of Mr Cheery's clothes in the bedroom, not got all night to put them away!), washed the dishes, cleaned the kitchen, and now cleaning out the fridge, which has had something spill at the back, go off, and then freeze to the side... Grim. Left the door open for a bit to let it drip a bit and will try again... Grim grimity grim!
Not had any tea yet, got a bit sidetracked...0 -
Goodness, where did the last few days go?!
Certainly didn't spend it putting things into YNAB  :rotfl: Just emptied an entire purse full of receipts and did all my reconciling for the last 4 days (and ended up putting £11 into the budget fiddling category which undoubtedly I spent in town on Saturday but I can't remember what on...:rotfl: )
But now I'm dashing off again - ran a bath and it should be just about the right temperature for a leisurely soak now! :j :j0 -
Oh dear to budget fiddling. Ah well. You are usually so good. One small £11 hiccough isn't too bad.Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000

Cheery's great
but budget fiddling is here to stay, I think
Just realising how much I miss those multicoloured lists, Cheery, they're wonderful. You'd be great at making infographics for sale, actuallythough with your career going so well, a sidegig right now isn't necessary - great position to be in!
How's the house hunt going?2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Thanks ladies :kisses3:
Thanks for the suggestion KC! But you're right, I probably don't need to add anything else to my to do list right now :rotfl: A good position indeed, and I'm very grateful :j
House hunt is ongoing, although unlikely we'll do anything drastic in the first 3 months of my new job so we'll be looking at April earliet. don't want to rush things :rotfl: :rotfl:
Made a decision about Christmas -nmad tog ev'I0 -
bloody phone posting backwards again!! :rotfl:
anyway... I've got two weeks between jobs :j and we were considering going away over Christmas and new year. However, now decided that as we had 2 weeks away in August, we don't need another big holiday so soon. Also we wrre considering Orkney, but I was fretting about the ferries being delayed and missing my first day at new job:rotfl:
So we're having Christmas at home :j but we're going to make sure kitchen and living room are free of boxes and there's sufficient room for the Christmas tree :j And we're going to pop to the seaside for a night or two after I finish work before Christmas - we went to Scarborough for one night a few years back and it was all festive and lovely and felt like we were away for ages so might do the same again :j
For now though, workity work work. Last day is 6 weeks tomorrow  25.5 working days left now!! :eek:0 -
What a lovely plan for what is possibly your last Christmas in this house.Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000

That sounds lovely, Cheery - as starnac says, good to be in your own house for your last Christmas.
Love what your phone does! For a moment there, I thought you were being cryptic :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: and writing your post in the form of a crossword clue!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
it's bonkers isn't it?? i type faster than it appears on screen usually so it takes me a few words to realise :rotfl:
Strangely enough, I hadn't thought about it being our last Christmas heere but you're right! (although the rate we're going we'll stil be here in another 10 years :rotfl: )
Quite looking forward to the weekend, got hardly anything planned for once :j :j Except a smear test on Saturday morning :rotfl: not particularly looking forward to that :rotfl:0 -
:j :j :j :j
Spotted a thing on the MSE sidebar this morning about Eurostar tickets, which reminded me that I'm meant to be visiting pal in Belgium :j :j
After a bit of fiddling, I've got Eurostar tickets for £32 each way :money: and a return from here to London (including guaranteed connecting with Eurostar - they have to plonk me on the next service if my train's delayed and I miss it) for £31.50 return :j :j
So £95.50 all in - not bad at all for a weekend in Belgium! :j :j Well, 27 hours at any rate :rotfl: :rotfl: Tis right annoying not having Fridays off any more - how do normal people manage?! :rotfl: Suppose I could have booked holiday but it'll only be my second week at work so I thought best not at this point :rotfl:0
