    Getting somewhere! (slowly, as ever...) :rotfl:

    Phase 1: house buttling- til 7.45
    * [STRIKE]washing away[/STRIKE]
    * [STRIKE]clothes out of bathroom[/STRIKE]
    * [STRIKE]new washing on[/STRIKE] (and hung up later) still in machine - tis ancient and takes over TWO HOURS! :eek:
    * hoover upstairs - nope, left it too late, but swept the bathroom carpet which is enough for now :D
    * [STRIKE]washing up[/STRIKE]
    * [STRIKE]tidy kitchen[/STRIKE]

    Phase 2: socialness - til 8.15
    * [STRIKE]ring a cheery pal for a chat[/STRIKE] ended up on the phone for an hour, talking over work situation

    Phase 3: diploma - til 9.15
    * [STRIKE]send email 1[/STRIKE] have put this off for about 6 weeks, took me less than 5 minutes :o:p
    * draft article and send email 2 with photo - this needs some thinking, head not working now...
    * start writing report blatantly not going to get round to this, but have emailed someone about some more info we need which is a start!

    Phase 4: internet buttling - til 9.45 (while running bath)
    * update YNAB
    * blog post

    Phase 5: being idle
    * nice bath (possibly, will see what time it is and whether I can be bothered...)
    * paint toenails
    * curl up in front of a film with my knitting

    Bath is run, and cooling down (yet another quirk of this ridiculous house - the cold tap in the bath doesn't work so we have to run a bath of hot, then let it sit for half an hour to cool down :o :rotfl: Or relay loads of buckets of cold from the sink!) Again, this would probably take about 10 minutes to fix with a new washer and a bit of oil... :o must get on the case, it's been like this since I moved in 10 years ago :eek: :o :rotfl:

    Ooh - also this evening, had the gas/electric bill by email - we're on a flexible direct debit and it gives us a recommended amount. Started at £150 :eek: but now we're over £300 in credit and we've been slowly creeping downwards for a while, to £75 for both :j Logged in today and it suggested reducing to £72, which I've now done :D :money:

    Had contract for new job yesterday by email :j :j SO excited - especially as they've seen fit to put the word 'senior' in front of my new job title :D :rotfl: :rotfl: :D Been trying to work out pay etc...

    Turns out I won't lose ANY days between end of one job and start of next :j Pay is mid month, whereas current job is last Friday, so I'll get December's pay (for old job) at the end of January, then presumably first new job pay for January in the middle of Feb, so we'll be a bit ahead of ourselves :j

    Unless they pay 6 weeks behind, and we don't get January's pay til mid March? Who knows. Will make sure I keep enough spare in the accessible emergency fund rather than sweeping it all into the restricted access ISA/Patchwork Fund til I find out...

    right, YNAB, blog post, then bath! :j
  • Wouldn't you get your December pay at the end of December? It seems odd you would have to wait another month and they would probably want you off their payroll in any case if your contract has ended. May be worth checking.

    How did the run go? I was supposed to go running this morning but decided to stay in my nice warm bed instead. Didn't even run at parkrun yesterday as I was volunteering. Need to get a grip!
    Mortgage, draw down Sept 2014: £222,000

    Now: £173,229

    I love that "can I be bothered to have a bath" - thats often how I feel! Also lovely that you're a Senior, in this context at least :rotfl:

    I also connect to an email that takes 5 mins being put off for 6 weeks, which *isn't* so lovely :D but is nevertheless true :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Hope today is splendiferous :)

    Thanks ladies :D

    Chocforever, you might be right. I can't remember. I have a vague memory of having to wait 7 weeks for my first paycheque for this job, which made me think we might be a month behind Will check tomorrow. Also not sure about new place - pay is 18th but can't imagine they'll be organised to pay me first couple of weeks of pay by then? who knows.

    It's surprising how many tiny things I can put off for weeks :D

    Having an ok day.Lounged in bed this morning, bu just landed up fretting at work situation :( Feeling better after a nice (slow!) run through the woods :) Now cold and curled up on the sofa :D but need to get in the shower...

    Have to make a work phone call this afternoon, bit annoying but there we are. Another thing I'm capable of putting off :o:o

    Ten more mins on the sofa, then a shower, then work phone call, then I can curl up again with my knitting :D

    I most certainly hope not RT!! :eek: :eek: :rotfl:

    Not sure I'd know how :o :rotfl:

    Probably does mean I have to at least look like I know what I'm talking about though... :eek: easier said than done... :eek:

    Phone call not going well - rang twice now and nobody's answered the phone yet and there's no answer machine... Got to work myself up to it all over again, aarrgghh! :rotfl:

    Well I rang six times yesterday and nobody answered! but I did finally get hold of them this morning and arranged to ring properly tomorrow :rotfl:

    Only slept four hours last night with fretting about work :eek: farcical and most unlike me! :eek: So anticipated a difficult day today but in fact I was too tired for being grumpy and most things just seemed either hilarious or too much effort to worry about :rotfl:

    Compounded things by stayingout for pizza and wine with some chums which I hardly ever do, and now on train home. got to change or I'll end up in London :eek: :rotfl: but we're running late and I've only got 5 mins to swap platforms! aarrgghh! :rotfl: :rotfl:

    not entirely sure why everything seems so hilarious; at 3am the entire world was caving in :rotfl:
