Well I am aiming to be debt free by Christmas. If I carry on paying the usual amount off each month of £200 I will be short by £170, so I need just under £30 extra a month to make sure I get there. I am hoping that my OH will get some overtime in the summer, but I cannot depend on it. Good luck everyone!

Well on the downside, I've just had through the maintenance bill for my flat for the end of last year. On the plus side, it is only £100, which is less that I was expecting.

Also on the plus, I am planning to have a no-spend week from today until Friday when I will need petrol, which should mean I may even not spend everything I have saved for my holiday!

I'l report back to justify if I do have to spend anything this week! :naughty:

    Morning all.

Well I had a good weekend (I only spent £4.20  ) got sunburnt  and I have started sorting things out for a car boot and I've put a couple of books on Amazon and even had a sale.

I've also worked out my paid off total which now includes everything I've paid off minus the money I transfered back into my account to pay off my phone bill. Mum gave me some money over the weekend which means I am now about £6 up. But it's going to be tight as I remembered I'm having my hair cut on Saturday. It's only £7.50, but still I'm going to need to be good. But hopefully if the weather is nice on Sunday I'll be off to the car boot and will raise some much needed money to pay off my Store card.

But I now have £55 to last me until the 20th and that still has to have the £20 I spent on Petrol go out. So basically I'm looking at about £21 spending money for between now and the 20th. I think that's do able.I'll just need to be good.

But I promise to be better with my money next month as I am not sure I can go through all this again.

    I'll keep you posted.

I don't know about other ideas. I just got paid for a mystery shop I did a while back, and if any more come up I will definately be going for it. Would love to use quidco and all that, but I simply don't buy anything to get cashback on!

However, I just made it through my first ever official no-spend day! Crisps called and I told them to Frazzle Off! Anyone else fancy trying to make it to Friday without spending with me?!

    Hope everyone is doing well!

I would love to... but I already know I'm gonna have to buy milk and mushrooms before the end of the week...

I would love to but I am meeting a friend for a drink on Weds. I tell you what though, I will see if I can get until Friday without spending more than £2!

Well I have just sold a leather bag for £80 on Ebay and I have made £7odd on other bits. Just waiting for the buyers to pay up and I am going to transfer that over. I am sooo excited, I have had a great start and I am usually rubbish at saving up.

Struggling with saving short change though at the minute, try to save up 20ps but then because I haven't been using the cash machine recently I end up needing them for little bits such as milk/paper.

Do you have a set budget for groceries? If so, if you say spend £20 a week, aim to only spend £15 and then put the £5 change into the saving pot x

Felt good last Thursday as I was able to pay £40 off my Ge Money account. I've set up a little table for the contributions to it and I should be able to say ta-ra to it next month. The Nat West loan is usually taken care of through the business but I'll lokk to paying it off early at the end of the year.

Found I have an old football programme that should come up trumps on ebay so i'll list it when i return home. That should speed things up on the old GE front.

That sounds like a challenge still! Here comes day 2.....
(Yay I have someone to tell me off if I go wrong!:A)

I know what you mean about not having any coins to save. Spending less in total means I have less spare change. A couple of years ago when I was saving for a holiday but not really restricting what I spent, I could put 20 quid in my change jar in a month. Now I'm lucky if it makes it to 2 or 3 quid.
