It's lovely when you get to score through another one especially store cards as the interest is usually ridiculous!Mortgage OP 2025 £7050/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

Ooo about 24.9 %!!!!
I'm still not sure what made me get it.... I probably didn't even think about checking the interest rate to be honest!

Morning all,
I'm actually really busy at work at the mo, so will have to wait til later to post an update. Just wanted to empathise about the glasses/CLs situation: it's my pet peeve - why are they so expensive?? We don't ask to be blind! It really annoys me that I need new glasses pretty much once a year (£100) plus prescription sunglasses for driving (another £50 or so with an offer) plus £20 a month for lenses... I have to pay all this because I have different genes to the next person who has perfect vision!
Rant over, have a good day everyone. TGIF!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
I've been planning to do a car boot for months with one of my mates but not got round to it. Will try and sort it out for later in the month.
Just got my gas bill through and they are doubling my payment which has mucked up calculations, I think I'll have to stay with them a couple of months to pay back what I apparently owe then get switch - using quidco if poss!Mortgage OP 2025 £7050/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

Although my eyes are only done every 2 years and i only pay £10 a month for contacts, so can't complain that much.Current debt - £16,300Debt at worst 17/03/2011 - £18,067.62:eek::eek::ANot going anywhere else, ever again :A0 -

Sounds like a good plan. I thought that the energy suppliers were cutting their pricesCan you question what they say you owe them?

Sadly it's based on actual readings so I'm up sh*t creek I'm afraid. It's not been a great summer up here so it's been on in may and sep when it wouldn't normally have been - shivered through june - aug on principal though!
I'll just have to take a wee bit longer than anticipated but it's no big deal in the grand scheme of things I suppose...c'est la vie...
On contact lenses and glasses front could you try the supermarkets? I get toric lenses for £60 for 6 months (D&A was £25 a month) and I think both Asda and Tescos have opticians up here for specs. Plus even if you don't want to change you suddenly get offered deals when you call to cancel...Mortgage OP 2025 £7050/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

Glasses and contacts aren't to bad, I get them from specsavers and pay £10 a month for my lens and I get 50% off all complete glasses when I need new ones (only from their £75-£99 range, but good anway) So I'll just have to get them done.
Well it's 10 days until payday I'm £500 into my OD so will have to cut back for the next week, but that should be easy enough I hope. I think like you there is not much I can do about it, it'll just take a bit longer to pay off.Current debt - £16,300Debt at worst 17/03/2011 - £18,067.62:eek::eek::ANot going anywhere else, ever again :A0 -
Hello Everyone,
Well, I had quite a good week last week so I'm feeling really positive about this now.
I got all the bumpf through for my A&L account and found that they will only match your previous OD limit if you transfer all your direct debits etc to them, which I don't really want to do at the moment. So I've only got a £450 0% OD but I'll still use it - it'll reduce my monthly interest payments to Barclays at least. So I've transferred £400 over to Barclays today (leaving a £50 buffer just in case!!)
My first round of eBay items finished last night and providing everyone pays up I'll have made around £70. Was a bit disappointed with a dress I was selling which had 15 watchers and then ended up going with only one bid, but I guess it's better than it sitting in my wardrobe unloved and I made about a £1 profit to what I paid on a handbag so that made me feel better!
I emptied out my owl and put £70 in the bank to tide me over until my advance, which it did, and I'm now back up to £12 already. Got my advance on Friday, but still no holiday pay from the agency, will have to wait until this Friday for that. Grr. But I have got a few expenses out of the way in the last month or so, so hopefully it'll be plain sailing til Christmas now.
I've re-jigged my sig again, it is now a three-pronged attack, in the order that I'll pay them off. I'm hoping to get the Barclaycard paid off in the next couple of months then can concentrate on my ODs. I'll be putting some more stuff on eBay this Thursday, and I had a very frugal week last week while trying not to go over my OD limit and had a few NSDs so hoping to try and keep this up as it's really not so bad!
Well that's all from me, how's everyone else doing? xxWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0
