  • I'm pleased that your holiday money has gone in, that will make things easier.

Well I have paid off everything and closed all the accounts, the only one I am waiting to sort if my A and L OD. I've done the money transfer into it. But i think I might pay it off in 2 lots, I'm really worried about leaving myself sshort now that I don't have an OD, so thought that as it's interest free to pay it off over 2 months isn't going to hurt.

  • What you said in your diary about not wanting to mess it up in the first month by trying to pay it all at once resonated with me, this is the way debt starts and then builds. I don't know if this makes sense, but I feel once you've got an overdraft, it's difficult to get out of because you're used to having that money available. I guess it's hard getting back into that 'once it's gone, it's gone' mentality. So I say just pay the authorised OD in the 2 instalments, as you say it's 0% and you'll have some peace of mind, and you won't end up going into an unauthorised OD instead. Hope this makes sense, my brain is addled after the day I've had, roll on the weekend!

I know. I want to know what happened to this week, it's been awful!! My head hurts and I think I am getting another head ache. Must been the 5th one this week!

I feel better not over stretching myself, it shouldn't happen but you never know. But I am aiming to pay £200 off the OD this month and then £157 next month.

    Then that'll be it!

Good luck. hope the headache clears soon cos IT'S THE WEEKEND!

I'm hanging on for payday before I pay anything else off but vow to get at least five things listed on ebay this weekend - sort of got out of the habit as things have been a bit hectic lately.

I think I need to vow to list something on Ebay. I haven't tried it yet but I do have some clothes I've slimmed out on lying around.....

    I'll see what I manage. I have a busy weekend ahead (1 x 60th birthday, 1 x house warming and relatives staying!)

  • I think I'll vow to put something on eBay this weekend too, it's just so time consuming and a chore. I've got to chase the post office for a pair of shoes that went missing from my last lot as well so selling is even less appealing than usual! I have a birthday party on Saturday too, it's my cousin's 30th so really looking forward to that. Have a good weekend everyone xxx

  • I wasn't throwing down the gauntlet there, but... OK! I'll have to list something now I've got you to answer to!

  • Oh god, I'm so hungover. Really can't take my drink like I used to! I don't know how I used to do this every weekend, and if I hadn't I probably wouldn't have half this debt to pay off. Grr. Still it was a fairly moneysaving night with all the rellies plying me alcohol, so it could be worse. I'm going round to see Granny in a bit and take the dog out for a run on the field (him not me, obviously) and hopefully that should clear my head enough to be able to bear to do some ebaying later! Hasta luego x

I've done the ebaying thing, hopefully at least some of it will sell. Nothing big or expensive there though but will help in the decluttering quest.
Hope the hangover clears soon Tete.
