Checked latest settlement figure and its reduced now to £14,169.66. (The total goes down as I pay £350 a month for my finance) I have £13,569.66 to go!

Keeping my July goal figure the same. Payday but nothing exciting car insurance, a bill and wait for direct debits to go out. Taking youngest DD prom dress shopping it's going to be fun.

    Have a great day xx

    Thank you!

Today was direct debit day I now have £700 in my car settlement account! I have a smaller amount going into my emergency account now just a small £10 a month -so I have £1040 in there, my Xmas fund is still rising currently at £356. I have £10 in my ISA I'm putting £5 a week in there (got to focus on my debts unfortunately).

I've spent a fair bit the last couple of weeks my eating habits have changed for the better but I've found I'm buying more often because it's fresh food rather than junk.

I get paid OT tomorrow haven't been to work to check on the system to see how much I'm hoping it's enough to bring my car account to £1,000 and have some left in my bank account as a cushion for the month. Then any extra I earn from doing OT I can throw at the car settlement account.

Youngest Dd is on a taster day at secondary school today, all her prom things are sorted (I miss the days of the end of school disco) but she's worth it all, never asks for a thing so I've enjoyed spoiling her.

I'm working tonight but I'm off to the gym in a bit, enjoy the sunshine everyone xxx

    Hi all,

I'm still here! I just cant make any payments at the moment. Due to the big payments made at the beginning of the month.
Good news though I've spoke to student loans they still aren't taking from my wages so I've set up a DD for £100 a month to be taken until they do. (might not be sorted to April next year) I'm moving areas at work soon and my wage will drop slightly because there is no option for OT or nights (which is more money). So I may as well make a dent while I can. It takes the girls at work three and half years ish to clear there student loan so I just want to get started on it now. I would only have a year left to go if they had taken it when they were supposed to.

Anyway that's all I didn't bring car account to £1,000 it's still at £700 at the moment, we had a weekend away £100 and my OH put nothing towards my daughters prom, so I've footed the bill for the lot.
I did do an OT shift this week so I'm hoping that next week a payment towards the car account can be made.

DS birthday soon think I know what I'm doing for that.

I've been feeling a bit low lately which is another reason for the reduction on posts, OH and money is really starting to bug me. We agreed he would pay £65 a week towards NYC and his paid £120 so far since the 11/5/15. After that agreement in May he went out and brought a car which spends 80% of the week on the drive because he drives a van to work, His got it on finance which he didn't discuss with me until it was pretty much a done deal. he has spent a fortune adding things to this car DVD player etc, I didn't want him to get it because I knew all his other commitments would suffer(been here before) and I was right we are constantly running out of electric, he hasn't given the kids their pocket money for weeks (our bills are split 50:50 this is included on his half) and he hadn't kept to his agreement on paying for his half of NYC. I'm just not happy, we earn more than enough to be in a better position now and I just feel we are always moving sideways. Every single debt agreement he has taken out in the past 15 years I've ended up paying off because it always always ends up with debt collectors. I'm just fuming. I've kept all this in trying to not let it get to me but I've had enough.

Rant over...I'm off to get ready for work.

sweetheart, I just wanted to give you a hug, it really sounds like you do it all, can you threaten to cancel New York if he doesn't foot the bill/

We've had a shock here, the tour companies have now pulled out of Tunisia to August, we found out last week we had our flight cancelled, so had rearranged it to the Wednesday - now its all stopped. Got my daughter in a state, she loves it over there x

  • Hiya

Big hugs from me too. It can be frustrating when others don't pull their promised weight doesn't it.

M2O: hope you sort your holiday out soon. It's so sad to hear of the poor people over there who are losing they're livelihoods just because of a few extremists. Stay safe :)

Its been mad with the holiday, all sorted to fly out on the Wed, - then the FO say - Tunisia no go, so its all cancelled, we've been offered other holidays, Greece, Turkey, Spain, but with Greece with the euro crisis, Turkey is as much risk as Tunisia, and Spain is going the same way...

Great plan will be get the money and see what happens next yr xx

  • Thanks Trixxibell. I've been working hard to get that signature looking good and hope to add another smiley face soon!

M2O - Are you allowed to get your money back if you've been offered alternatives? I really hope so. There must be somewhere you can go as everyone needs a much needed break. Although from the sounds of things the FO are being way over pre-cautious but you know what they say, they're damned if they do & damned if they don't. Hope it works out soon.
