one day a lady I work with (who i don't know very well) who claims she's psychic said to me 'you've got a guardian angel watching over you, it's your great grandma' I said oh...right?! she said the letters l and A are coming to me. I didn't think anything of it really. a few days lster I asked my mum what my great grandma was called as I never met her. She said Lizzie Ada. I just thought that was really weird. how did the woman at work know? did she just pick 2 letters out of 26 in the alphabet and hope for the best?

I don't know if I believe but that little incident had always made me think maybe. I've never had a reading though and I doubt I will.

She picked 'a', which is the usual suffix for female names from latin roots. And 'l', which could be confused with 'I' - if an explanation was needed for an inaccurate guess.

If you hadn't had the 'a', 'l', 'I' hit in your great grandma's given names, there's a good chance that the surname would have completed the set.

I'd be a little more impressed if she had picked 'X' and 'Z', and your great grandma's name was Zoe Xaviera!

I had a reading once- he told me who I had been in a past life which fascinated me. He said he had been drawn to me and really wanted to do a reading for me- so much so that he didn't charge. He said that in a previous life I had been a man (which is bizarre because I read somewhere that those women with the most serious cases of PCOS had often been men in past lives hence the excess testosterone) and also that I had died young from TB. I had my BCG at birth (due to there being TB in close family) and I've never had to have a booster in 33 years as my immunity is still perfect- something the doctors cannot explain. He also told me that my late auntie (who was a nurse) was looking after my baby with the help of my nan. I had had a very traumatic miscarriage 2 years before and it's something I never talked about, but he specifically mentioned it- in fact it made him cry and it got me in floods (obviously as it had been a very much wanted baby)
I was sceptical until then and to some extent still slightly am but I think I've mellowed a bit.

she said the letters L and A. which were the first initials of my great grandmas first and middle names.

anyway I still think it's strange, or a good guess.
  • I've been to quite a few over the years and some of them were absolute rubbish . A few said things that I could relate to which maybe , looking back , was just general . Some managed to get accurate names without going through a huge list so don't know how they do that . One told me something that happened to me in the past which no one knew about. She also said that our home used to have a right of way through it , it did . She didn't know where we live so couldn't have researched . She also said a few things would happen and they did.

Why do you keep going if you have found no general consistency in terms of accurancy?

My sister died in RTA in the 1980's.
So one day my mate dragged me to one of these medium sessions
Firstly she took my wedding ring which was my Grans.. she rubbed it a bit then told me my sister was there and holding in her arms our pet dog which we lost a few years later..
I told her this was a bit odd as we had a Lab that weighed at least 3 stone :(
Next was that sister forgave the boyfriend who was driving the car and wanted him to have a good life as she forgave him ?
    I then informed her..
1 they were on a motorbike
    2 they both died..
At this point she sort of lost the plot and I walked away knowing what a rip off these bunch of scam artists really are..
People who have died live on in their children and future generations, Look hard and you will see evidence of parts of their personality on occassions when you least expect it.
Please , please do not be taken in by idiots who claim to have contact with the dead..
The dead are gone, that is a fact of life, we all will die one day but they will live on in your memories and all the generations that follow them

Could you locate this please? I'd be [STRIKE]amused[/STRIKE] interested to read it.

How on earth can hormones carry from body to body through time and switching gender? I bet there's no scientific backup...

People who believe in re-incarnation know that you can be either male or female in past lives. its nothing new - but blaming PCOS on it is!
