  • I will do when I get home from work!!
  • Boss has just nipped out so I will try and tell you now.

I went to see this lady a couple of years ago..when I went in I said to her I dont want you to tell me anything except the answer to a question. I said to her shall I say it out loud or in my head or what? she said whatever you feel comfortable with.

So I asked my friend (who has passed) the question (in my head) so I didnt say anything out loud.

The Lady who I had gone to see pointed at her lapel and said its an angel and I said no...she then said to me no.. she is saying there were two and the other one is here..and she put her hand out to me and uncurled her fingers and pointed at her palm..

I had completely forgotten I had pinned a little angel to my friends lapel and the other angel I put in her hand and closed her fingers over it!!

she then went on to tell me about my sister in law who had died. told me her name and told me to tell her husband that she knew what we had all done with the photographs. (she never liked her photo taken so he had very few of her) we all looked through our photos and gave him the ones she happened to be on!

    How do they work?

What sort of accuracy besides the accident?

To be honest, we were about 16, and were only messing around. I'm not sure, but it was probably both of us gently pushing the glass around the board. If you were a believer, I guess it could be spirits guiding the glass.
Other questions we asked were things like "do you know who died" or "am I going to pass my exams", generally vague stuff. I don't know if I really believe, but it was frightening that the accident was predicted so clearly.

i had a psychic baby reading last year.. told me i was going to find out i was expecting this January and gave a due date for the birth.... This has not happened....

wish i hadnt had the reading now :-(

Whilst I don't believe it those that do it for free and good intentions are generally ok.

The above however just sounds wrong, preying on the vulnerable.

Not exactly on topic, but a friend and I once messed around with a Ouija board, and were frightened at its accuracy. We asked all the usual questions, and the glass moved around the board as expected. Then it said there would be an accident, that same day, involving something beginning with the letters CA. My friend panicked, because she was going on a long car journey, and thought it meant that. When she got to her destination, safely as it turns out, she got a phone call to say that her boyfriend had a serious accident whilst canoeing. He almost drowned, and broke his leg trying to get out of the submerged canoe.

I had a weird Ouija board experience.

It was the usual teenage mucking around thing, with two friends

I'm an only child, but I knew that my mum had had a couple of miscarriages.

Well, we 'contacted' the children from these miscarriages. As far as I am aware, my friends we're not aware of my mum's history. All the things that were spelt out were loving, and it was a reassuring experience overall.

A year or so later, I found out that my mum had had a miscarriage that I didn't know about. She had miscarried my twin.

When I played Ouija, I can honestly say that I was not knowingly pushing the glass.

But I'm convinced that at some level I must have been influencing what happened, as I was the only one who knew about the miscarriages. But I only 'contacted' children that I knew about at that time. It it was real, surely my twin would have contacted me, who had an even greater connection to me?

I don't really understand what happened, but there's no way I'd mess around with that sort of thing now.

I don't think I've read anything in this thread to change my opinion on psychics - I still believe they're fake.

Definition of ego " the difference between your aspirations and your capabilities" hence unless you believe these people can actually commune with the dead that means its all done to support their ego! And if they were all psychic as most of them claim you would be visiting them in their 3 million pound mansion brought with their last lottery win! For their ego's sake it's better to believe your a psychic medium than resign yourself to being a bored housewife .
  • Just to add, I playd the Ouija board when I was a teenager..

Sared the crap out of me! Basically there were like 8 of us playing, including some adults, so about half ended up doing a senace (spelt that so wrong I think!) me not being one of them, anyway I have never seen anything like it, they just kind of turned on each other and starting physically hurting each other, they looked in a trance, there was no emotion what so ever. so they kind of 'finished' and everyone kinda started coming back around again, they were just really confused. my best friend still had a completely blank face and was like frozen, someone has pulled her hair so her pony tail had fallen out, I went to put it back for her, 'she' grabbed me with her arm and I have never ever felt a force like it, she was a teenager and my arm was black and blue from the force.

Now that that I want to scare anyone... that was just my story. I believe there are spirits. I believe some people just have that nature that it is easier for them to find them, in the same way animals are always drawn to a certain kind of person, that kinda thing.

I really would struggle with someone telling me about my life though, I really do just think its the power of suggestion and the mind.

We are very clever beings, however we are also very emotionally connected to life and our values reflect that. therefore if someone tells you you will have kids by the time your 30, in most cases this will happen, because you make it happen, because you believe it is destined to happen, not everyone will, but the vast majority will.

Hope that makes some sort of sense!
