I agree, last time I bought some it was 49ppl!

It does feel like profiteering to me.
I would love for someone to explain how the UK retail price of heating oil correlates to the price of bulk crude oil.
Crude oil was +/- $63 per barrel in early Feb according to a chart I found on the web. Today it is showing at $91 That's a 44% increase
The raw material (crude oil) must only make up a portion of the total retail cost of heating oil, so I don't understand how a 44% increase in the raw material can lead to the eyewatering increases in heating oil costs being quoted above.0 -
Living in a rural area, oil suppliers around here are either showing no delivery available, whilst others are order without a price in advance.

Petrol is up less than 5%, heating oil 150%. I’m sure there are some differences in processing, distribution and economies of scale but there has to be some profiteering going on.

Profiteering without a doubt and and what are any of us going to do about it if we need oil?!!
I appreciate costs will go up but to double the price in a week when that hasn't been the case for petrol or diesel, well it just stinks.

No deliveries available in my area, apparently, although offering 20L boxes for…. £320.99!!!!
I don't need any, although my last delivery ended up 100L short, which is now even more annoying. I should make it to Oct without, so I best get saving

Ordered 500 litres via Boilerjuice on 28th Feb for £332 for delivery on 9th March. On the day of delivery they (Tincknell fuels) cancelled it and said I have to reorder. And that I should be aware that the price may have gone up. I’m guessing it has since I can’t actually see as no-one can quote me a price - ‘no delivery available in your area’.
Seems rather harsh that I’m now bottom of the list and can’t actually get any despite ordering and paying nearly two weeks ago.0
