Struggle to drag my butt out of bed in the morning!

I'll have a look this evening and let you know. It wasn't a brand I'd heard of (standard for aldi I reckon) but I've been really pleased with it.
I particularly love the different coloured lights. You can choose one colour or have them on a rainbow cycle.... am easily impressed!0 -
I struggled for around 15 years or more with getting up in the mornings. Started taking Vitamin D and Iron supplements and it has improved lots.0

lol..... I do sympathize OP.... not a morning person myself have never been and never will be........
before I had my son I did a lot of work in Restaurants and bars... long hours/shifts sometimes we only closed at 1am......... or so add another hr for cleanup etc I would be lucky if I got to bed at 3am........ so my body clock was use to going to sleep early morning and then waking up late afternoon...........! took me absolute ages to get out of the habit of sleeping till noon... having a baby did help...... I get up for work in the mornings (8am or so) 30min before I need to be out of the house...... I'm an absolute nigfhtmare in the morning but once I'm up Im running through the house like a tornado..... seems to work for me........ I am also lucky to have coffee made for me the minute I get into work....... that does help a tiny bit. then I turn into a semi civil human again lolLOVE isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live WITHOUT

I also have the cosiest (quite new pocket sprung soft memory foam) mattress in the world and buy perfect pillows and 200-400 Egyptian cotton sheets, etc. Maybe it's too cosy! And bf often sleeps in other room so I don't even get disturbed. Used to be a horrendous insomniac but counteract that by going to bed late when I'm actually tired. Too much sleep and I start heading in that direction again...

I try to be in bed by 9pm, asleep by 10.30pm, up naturally at 4.30-5am and on the 5.50am train to the gym. It really works for me but weekends are a nightmare because I sit and fidget till DH surfaces at 9am; can't do any noisy housework before then. It's just my natural pattern - I can't sleep in at all."Save £12k in 2019" #120 - £100,699.57/£100,0000

I'm glad to see there's so many people as useless as me at getting up in the morning! DH is up at 5am because he does the sarnies for the kids and just generally takes forever fannying about. Then he comes back to bed for about 15 minutes or so (I can't understand that bit!) and then is up for good at about quarter to 7. He had a paper round from the age of about 11 though, then graduated to working in the newsagent starting at sparrow fart to mark up the papers ready for delivery, so he's always been an early bird.
I literally haul myself out of bed at the last possible second, everything is laid out ready the night before, kids can dress themselves with what I've laid out. I drop them off at breakfast club for 7.45am and I'm in work by 8.15am. Once I'm up and about I'm okay, but it's that initial psyching myself up to surface that's the huge problem. I don't think it's anything to work, I quite like my job, I don't dread going in. It also doesn't matter what time I go to bed or how much sleep I have. It's always the same. I so wish I was one of these people who could just hop out of bed. It would kill me to have a job where I needed to start any earlier than I do now. My worst nightmare is when you go on holidays or trips and you have to be up at like 4am or something to start your journey.
JxAnd it looks like we made it once again
Yes it looks like we made it to the end0 -
I don't like getting up particularly but 3 mornings am up before 6am to go to the gym before work. Although I hate it, I know I feel amazing after I have been.
A vitamin B complex tablet daily helps with my energy levels - perhaps OP could give this a try?0 -
My (grown up) kids are fans of an app on the iPhone which is a sleep alarm. Apparently it monitors your sleep and wakes you at the optimum time during that sleep pattern to make you wake up fresh! You set it for the latest time you need to get up, but it can wake you before that (can't remember how kind, think its up to 30 Mins:eek:) but it's supposed to mean that you wake when your body is ready. Certainly one of my brood commented how much fresher she felt - may be a gimmick but worked for her, and usually it was only 10 mins or so earlier than she set it for. I'm sure other similar apps are available?
Do you know what its called?0
