Struggle to drag my butt out of bed in the morning!

Is anyone else like this? No matter whether I have the right amount of sleep or not when my alarm goes off at 6:30 I just hate it!

I'm the opposite, I'm afraid - I'm always awake before my alarm and leap out of bed but struggle to get more than 5 or 6 hours sleep. It's improved since I've been exercising though.

Really? Have you always been like that? I get Dd ready take her to breakfast club, drive to work and can be sat at my desk for an hour or two before I've woke up!!!

Yep that alarm going off at 5am is never fun. And I consider myself a morning person - once I'm up I'm fine, but that 5 minutes of misery when the alarm goes off is present every day!

Wow if I spent the first two hours at work in a zombie state I wouldn't have my job for long! What do you do?

I'm a natural night owl and to function properly I need to keep earlier hours to keep my inner night owl at bay the odd early night won't cut it. They have to be regular to keep my body clock on an early schedule.

If you are genuinely that tired don't you feel you shouldn't be driving though.....especially with a child in the car?

I'm perfectly safe, and can function, I just have the "don't talk to me because you'll just get a grunt out of me" way about me.

I have been like this for as long as I can remember, I'm just not a morning person, then again I'm not a night person too! I work in admin, our office is very dramatic always someone getting sworn at, we were all tupe transferred there a year ago and we have more or less all been looking to leave for the last 6months!!! The manager is horrible the directors don't listen, they're too busy spending their money! Argh the joys of work! I don't think it helps that I work full time and am a single mum, my energy gets zapped out of me!

My (grown up) kids are fans of an app on the iPhone which is a sleep alarm. Apparently it monitors your sleep and wakes you at the optimum time during that sleep pattern to make you wake up fresh! You set it for the latest time you need to get up, but it can wake you before that (can't remember how kind, think its up to 30 Mins:eek:) but it's supposed to mean that you wake when your body is ready. Certainly one of my brood commented how much fresher she felt - may be a gimmick but worked for her, and usually it was only 10 mins or so earlier than she set it for. I'm sure other similar apps are available?

Can totally sympathise. I'm definitely a morning person (am falling asleep by 9pm) but I still hate that moment of getting up in the mornings. Although most of that is because I hate my job.
