Kitchen floor swabbed, top layer Dy$oned, bathroom s/nd/s'd.

Dentist tomorrow (sort of okay) and Thursday (definitely not okay) - for which Temazepam is prescribed as a needle is involved. Seriously

what should a person do with the lace handmade by their great grandmother. If two earlier generations didn't know, how can I?

If I had this lace I would either sell it through e bay (as vintage) OR (depending how much there is), make a cushion cover with it, for my bed.
Or frame it and display it. Before the moths get it;)

DD has informed me that as soon as I croak she is flinging loads of my precious things:rotfl:. I have merely pointed out that there is value in lead crystal and Crown Derby. Having said that, I do use the crystal glasses from time to time - :D

Laying on the hall floor as DS3 can hear noises, I'm like some sort of guard dog. Need him asleep so I can get DS2 in 15 minutes.

Love you all sharing re stuff such hard decisions but one lesson is for none of us to keep heaps of random tut for others to decide what to do with in the future.

There are, however, some things that you've all said that will result in some things going via appropriate routes. But *fling* as the gloriously unsentimental Pigpen says - I need to let go, as this stuff is holding me back.

I'm not unsentimental. I don't need physical stuff as a reminder of people gone from this life. Memories of them are all knitted together into a big blanket and wrapped around my soul. They are a part of me as I am a part of them, and we are all part of each other with the strands of our lives interwoven into a big blanket of life and time and love.

I have enough emotional baggage to sink a battleship I don't need it in the physical sense too.

And now you can assume I am a nutter :p

    Morning everyone.

Just decluttering a cuppa before getting up. The builder is coming this morning to sort the outside wall in the kitchen. Not much to move just the cat stuff. Flying will start after that. Was thinking while he is busy I will sort a few drawers out.

Have decided to get a new kitchen. Really should have done this ages ok. So the guy is coming tomorrow night.

Interesting reading about things we hang on to. I have a few things of Mams and just photos of Dad as his second family kept all his stuff.

Hugs, spoons and sticks where needed.

Morning all. I've just had breakfast as have the dogs, so I'm about to get washed and dressed and then give the bathroom a quick clean. Will then see what I can cross off the lists before the paid stuff.

Can't walk the dogs till someone else is in the house as the lock has broken on the door and I don't want to leave the house vulnerable, although we are in a relatively crime free village.

In good news, the Police have arrested the knifeman, and DH is feeling much more pragmatic about it all now.

    Have a great day everyone.
