Haven't posted all week been a bit busy flying!! caught up on some of your news, sounds like we missed the heavy rain, thunder and lightening the other day.
I sort of followed last weeks bedroom declutter as it was dire. DH was off work this week so got Xmas dec boxes away that were piled high in our bedroom. I have cleared the floordrobe and I can now see my carpet. All clean and tidy except top of one chest of drawers so that is for tomorrow. I have also blitzed dining room and lounge and sorted the cupboards too. Gone through kitchen cupboards and am using up old food some OOD but we are still here....

Took a load of stuff to the tip and filled up two neighbours recycling bins(with their permission) on bin day as well as our own. I will get clean and decluttered this year.

ETA and six bags of clothes/toys to charity shop.
Thanks to MSE savings we got to go to Disneyworld Florida.

    Ironing done
Nut free cupboard sorted & baskets washed
BIY done here too Mumto5, Boys' blind is up. It is a lovely purple colour. It wasn't the best quality though some of the blackout stuff has peeled off the back onto the front. It does peel off but it is a good job I'm not bothered what it looks like from outside. After the faff of it going up I'm not taking it back to the place with the Alien family ads.
Bunk beds changed and bedding laundered. 500 tissues collected from wall side of them.
    Coat hanger box cleaned
Various meals prepared & pots washed
    Car filled up.
Heavy rain here today so outside

    Bedside table of doom sorted

Blind is up. The holes were drilled in 2 places (window frame and an inch too high) before the right place was found. True BIY skills demonstrated! I did the wall prep. I was going to start the papering but remembered that DH used the pasting table to cook on a portable BBQ. BIY again.

Roast cooked and scoffed. DD's BF wasn't here to make yorkshires so they had to have mine. My littlies proclaimed them wonderful but the older boys sent the jury out! They were all eaten so they must have been ok.

    Hello!

We've had a bonza day! And still no flying. Just waiting for the littlies to nod off then I'll do a couple of hhc after my cuppa. There is stuff everywhere! although, the kitchen is still in good shape from yesterday, plus we ate out tonight...

So DS had a couple more presents this morning, then we showed him the model railway of DHs - ah he is made up! It fits perfectly under his bed which is fab (although I need to rehome everything else...) and he gave me a very quick tutorial tonight, bless him. I explained how it was Daddy's, and he nodded and said "but it is really mine, now, isn't it?" :A I think he wants to make sure he can keep it, and it won't be taken away and put back in gramps' loft :rotfl: I reassured him and said when he's bigger and gets pocket money he can save up and buy a bridge and some trees for it.

Then we went to the strictly live show. It was brilliant, although a little too long for the kiddies. But they were really well behaved. I'm glad I took emergency juice and lollies :T

After that we walked through the city to F&Bs for dinner - thankfully served really quickly as we were all hungry. Must apologise to DS teacher in the morning, he had 3 pieces of garlic pizza bread :o

So we've not been in long! But a fab-u-lous day and I'm really pleased with how the littlies behaved.

Shame about my mums friend who swore she wanted the spare ticket but didn't turn up - and hasn't paid us either. My mum was gutted and insists she'll pay me back (I had warned her to get the money up front or sell it to someone else) - I'll leave it to her to sort out. Meanwhile I'm £60 out of pocket... My guess is we'll never hear from this "friend" again... An expensive lesson...

Well the baking didn't happen. DD decided to make boiled eggs, and used the end of them up  So I've enjoyed a lazy day instead catching up on reading my magazines, I found about 6 going back to October I hadn't read :o

Tomorrow's plans to go shopping are looking very shaky. DD is in a fowl mood and still hasn't finished homework :mad: We have packed lunch stuff in so I think a day at home doing her homework instead of a trip out to spend her christmas money and go to McD's etc would be a better idea. Maybe then she won't procrast so much over her homework then
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.
Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!
