Its good, but works better if you drape a duvet cover or sheet over it. Cheaper than a TD to run too. The only place I can put it though at my parents house is in the very cold conservatory! :(

I'm guessing it will work better in my new house, in a warmish room!

Just catching up with the Dexter box set, I love a bit of gore :D

Managed to get the cot put together in the garage, photo on local FB selling page. Fingers crossed. Bed man called to ask if they can come Saturday morning instead of Friday. Makes no difference really.

Also made some soup and emergency rice crispy treats as "there's no sweeties mum" :p

So tea has been had, kitchen S&S and DW nearly ready to go. Just going to get small people into pjs then they can put all the cars away...

did the kitchen this afternoon, friend came round so i now have paperwork to send. would be helpful if another friend gave me thier third of the payment before i wrote the cheque out for the full amount.

spent the morning cross stitching, ive been doing titanic for over 3 years now and this is my second attempt at it the first one failed as spectacularly as its namesake.

boys have been fed, ours is done and just needs reheating in a bit when DH has finished training and had a bath.

    have a good night all
i cant decide if to read or knit, think ill knit if DH puts a dvd on then i can watch and knit

I managed to haul myself out of bed in time to fling veggies etc in sc for a veggie chilli - needed to use up half a jar of sundried tomato paste, various peppers and celery. Just had a bowl for my tea and it was lush. I can't freeze any though as the freezer is chocka but it will keep in the fridge for a couole of days.
I also ran a load through the WM and then the TD on cheap leccy.

I've been out of the house all day today. I collected a parcel from the next town, nipped to get a few essentials at Te5co. Then on to school to pick up DS3 to take him to a swimming gala. He didn't win and was very disappointed. I explained to him that he has had many days of glory (running) and should appreciate how the people he leaves behind him feel. I think the penny dropped!

I need to go into school tomorrow. Both of mine had packed lunches today and both lunch boxes were 'lost'. I've been charged for school dinners! DS3's coat has also been lost.

My mum called, she has been to @ldi and there were 49p butternut squash and swede. She's bringing me two of each tomorrow.

In case you soup-makers are interested...

I said I wasn't fussed for the swede (can't cut them...) but she said they will microwave, covered for 10 min then the top slices off and the middle can scoop out like a jacket spud. I'll give it a go!

Might do the same with the butternut too... Save my knuckles :o

WM been on and stuff up to dry, DW on, kettle on, surprised I haven't tripped a switch :p heading upstairs shortly, eyes feeling heavy already. I need to make DS cake for Saturday. And a little one for Monday... I'm usually organised by now. Better check the ready to roll icing tomorrow. I will bake Friday I think.

      Enjoy your evenings!

Ah but did you know the clothes dry loads quicker if they are laid on the airer flat, rather than hung on the bars. It took me six months (and only after reading a couple of tips on here) to work this out. Pile them on, thicker things first then lighter things on top, they dont have to be really neat unless they are things that really need ironing. Then throw your sheet over the top, it goes against every principle of clothes drying but it works!

Been out mountain biking with DS. Tired now, and very hungry despite having had stew and dumplings for tea. Had some fruit but it didnt help. I guess if I snack on loads of rubbish now its going to undo the exercise I did.

Anyhow, I have swished round the boys bedrooms and changed their bedding. Thats it, too tired to do more now. DS1 has to go for an x-ray tomorrow so thats Thursday pretty much taken care of too. Ah well, will keep plodding on.

Bossy, you don't have to cut the butternut squash up to cook it. Shove it whole, no oil, unpeeled in the oven when you're roasting something else, and it miraculously cooks itself. When it's prodable with a skewer without meeting resistance, cut it lengthways in two and scoop out the seeds. Voila! Veggie boat for kidlets.
