A sackful?! My husband would love you for ever if he got given a sackful! :rotfl: Actually, come to think of it, we do have nearly that amount sitting in the kitchen....:p Got a good deal from Thorntons and then my parents bought us a few....you're never too old for Easter Eggs! :EasterBun

;) Well they're in a net bag and they are all solid! It's egg-fest here, he had a few last night and took some to work today. Let's see how long they last. I dithered over getting him a bunny but thought that would be taking things too far given he'd finish it in one sitting.

Surely no MSEs have chocolate eggs on Easter, and I'm shocked and even a little bit offended that you would even suggest such a thing on this forum.

Everyone here has them a day later when they're at least half-off, don't they? :D

:rotfl: You're a penguin after my own heart Jim. The only thing better than chocolate is cut-price chocolate.

(And it tastes better for that extra day's wait too!)
Public appearances now involve clothing. Sorry, it's part of my bail conditions.

    Same here. :(

Here's hoping that it did take place and she's all loved up and planning the wedding....but somehow, I don't think so.

her profile shows her being online last night, so can we assume it's not a case of 'no news is good news' in this case...:(

And you would also seek permission from his parents?

My brother apparently asked permission from his wife's dad for "his daughter's hand in marriage" and he laughed his socks off.

So there are numerous posts on this thread about how my "traditional" views are laughable/ out of date/ religion is stupid blah blah, and that's ok? But when Jaylee says something from the other way round it's so wrong!?

    Double standards.

I quoted you because you quoted me. You obviously think there is something wrong with a traditional proposal.

Other way round? You mean someone making sweeping inaccurate comments about another poster and the way she's choosing to raise her child.

Some people don't have dads as I said before. Well technically I do but he !!!!!!ed off out of my life a few decades ago.

The problem with tradition is that it doesn't suit everyone's circumstances. Some people might have lost one or both parents.

What are they supposed to do?

There most certainly is. Even if the couple asked both sets of parents for permission the concept would be absurd. My parents do not own me and we've gone well past the era where daughters were a burden to be sold off to the highest bidder.
