Wow. I enjoyed this thread. As mother to a 9 week old, I say wholeheartedly...enjoy parenthood and all the uncertainty that brings, if you can cope with the constant worry! Seriously, you are going to have to chill the hell out or you'll not make it past the first week. At least you'll be occupied and stuff like this, which really no one in the world ever apart from you worries about, will pale into insignificance.

and yet apparently asking Tesco to behave within the law and give a decent response to a customer

    .

your not a Tesco customer, just a complainer, did you tell them about the no cold callers sign from your last thread.

you should get a no parking sign so you can point at that while ranting, as you did previously.

It is not a illegal to park temporarily in front of a dropped curb. Whoever told you that is mistaken. It is my mentioned in the Highway Code as a "Do not" rather than a "Must not". Only "Must not" rules are legal requirements.

the highway code wont apply to the op, she's pregnant you know. ;)

I sincerely hope that, if any of you ever need an ambulance, there's a huge fleet of Tesco vans illegally parked and blocking them from getting to you.

well I hope you teach your kid better manners than that, but how can you if you don't have them yourself.

folk like you shouldn't be having kids.

its a shame for the poor kid as its going to turn out just the same.

    some folk eh!!

I find it amusing that some of those first to reply got this response, gave me a smile this morning.
Wow. What an unsympathetic, judgmental bunch you are.

Inderstand your gripe with the van parked where it was but seriously if it happens agian ask the driver to move, the drivers dont like staying for long at each house as they have a schedule to keep too.

Oh and teh ebay what a corker.

Tesco are hardly going to be parked across your driveway for long. They have deliveries to make and need to be quick.

I note from your other threads that you know your delivery guys.
Do they ever park on anyone's driveway to deliver your things? Do they park across your drive?

For example, your Laura Ashley sofa that you had delivered on the 10th of this month (thread below) - did they block your car in on your driveway while they delivered it????? Did they park along someone else's instead?
If your car was not even on the driveway, how fast were you going to get to call an ambulance & get to the hospital with delivery guys faffing around your house?

The point of me quoting the above instance is - you assume the worst will happen to you because a Tesco van is parked outside your property. If it was a friend that visited you and they blocked you in, would you respond with the same panic or would you just let them in and CHILL OUT with a cup of tea?

Anyway, if you needed to go to the hospital - if your driveway was clear and you were driving off it, you would still have to wait for oncoming traffic to let you out, possibly hit traffic lights and other delays etc.
You'd even have to wait when you got to the hospital before you could be seen to.

The problem isn't the Tesco van - it's your STRESS.

Your stress levels are pretty high, hormones don't help. You need to distract yourself with something enjoyable. Keep well and good luck.

Thats how she got the hormones :)
  • I can't be bothered reading the entire 5 pages of this thread, but seriously OP, you are going over the top! I was wondering when you had a food order delivered recently via City Link (another thread) did you panic about the driver parking in front of your drive...

    Just wondering!

This OP would probably object to a fire engine outside her drive if next door was on fire!
