folk shouldn't be having home delivery when there is not sufficient access to the delivery property, thus causing harassment, delays and traffic jams to your neighbours:rotfl:
go and get your own shopping or use click and collect if you cant be bothered to pick your own from the shelf.:p

    some folk eh!!;)

    OP is a troll.

She posts these bizarre threads, lights the blue touch paper and retreats.

Or is she too busy fending off Tesco delivery drivers, Laura Ashley and eBay sellers husbands?

I hope the ambulance that comes to deliver her baby parks in the "pay an display" down the road.

Definately agree OP, that you are getting too wound up over very little. If someone was blocking you in and you didn't know where they were, then I could understand your frustration and worry.

All I can suggest, is that you leave your vehicle on the road, so you can't get 'blocked in.

Are you normally this irrational and hysterical? Maybe it's the baby brain.

OP is neurotic. I have just created an account to say this after having been following the MSE boards for months, and particularly enjoying the contributions OP makes. I am curious to know how she will get on with parenting if these occurrences cause her to get in such a stew.

I cant stop people parking opposite my drive on the pavement can I though which is why he couldnt get through as there was a car on pavement plus Tesco van in road, which is exactly what this particular neighbour does which can also make it difficult for us to pull out of our driveway or reverse into it so he cant exactly moan! :D

Plus as this is MSE I get my shopping delivered when there is an offer such as money off if you do home shopping returns, free delivery, bonus points etc ;) not because Im being lazy :p

As said in post #25 They are allowed to block the road for 20 minutes, thats what they told me anyway.

We had a Tesco delivery earlier this week at 9pm and their van blocked one of our neighbours from driving past our house to his house. The Tesco driver told me they are allowed to block for 20 mins. She was at our house for no longer than 5.

Post #25 actually says that you can park over a driveway for unloading for 20 mins, you can't block the road.
    Be Alert..........Britain needs lerts.
  • Drivers have a 6 minute drop window to deliver a customers shopping so they would not be their long. I can see your point about leaving your drive clear, so how about this ask your partner to pop over to the house where the shopping was delivered and have a chat with your neighbour, (never know you may make friends with them) ask them to put on the notes in the order please do not park over your drive. The driver will then see those notes and will park somewhere else. Maybe go talk to the driver ask him to put the same notes on his sheet and that will then get updated.
Oh be polite talk to them they are human like everyone. if you came out shouting and screaming at me I would be the one calling the police.
Also these days with estates having one car space for a house with three cars and the way people do park its a nightmare for van drivers, let alone emergency vechicles.

I have already posted my thoughts on this complete overkill of the OP's non-complaint...but some of the posts have been very unkind. She has suffered a horrendous loss in the non too distance past and is now worrying she may again have the same outcome.
If the OP does happen to brave this thread again, i hope you all the best and that all your dreams come true in the next couple of months.
