Ideas what to do with £500.00?

City break, Prague or Budapest. Your money goes further in either of those than it does over here! Should get return flights for two, hotel for four nights and a couple of days' spending money for that!0

I love travelling to different countries but I think at the moment I'd be hiring a cottage in beautiful Northumberland and exploring Hadrian's wall and Kielder forest. £500 would cover the week incl eating out nicely, and not too far a drive from Yorkshire. City breaks are lovely but I think I need to explore the UK a bit more.0

The Hull Dutch dash is a really good idea its only 1.5 away from us by car.

That is a good idea because we have a dog and rather than leave her at home with my 2 boys we could take her with us.

I'd buy a tent and stuff so you can have as many weekend breaks as poss. All presuming the kids are young enough to enjoy. We took five yr olds last year. They are desperate to go again as soon as possible.0

My boys are 17 and 21 so its hard to keep them entertained without gadgets lol lol lol, oh to have them little again.
Or do we save up a little bit more and put the £500 towards a caravan?

If you're interested in this, you can either take your own car on the ferry or go on an organised coach trip over a long weekend. You could either go to Rotterdam and then onto Amsterdam, or you could go to Zeebrugge and then onto Bruges. I've done both trips via coach, and they're both great fun. My own preference would be for Bruges, which is a beautiful town, but Amsterdam probably has the more interesting night life. What lovely ideas please keep them coming :-)
