Only 2 weeks to go :D

Yesterday I went to the gym and it was a NSD :) hoping today will be the same.

Well today was not a NSD - £5 on raffle tickets at work, £2.40 on bread and milk, £40 to OH and £9.49 on a wee tree and lights. I can't find the decorations, really hoping they turn up as some of them I've had for years and they have a lot of sentimental value. I don't think I would have thrown them out but will probably buy a few decorations tomorrow just in case I don't find them. I gave OH the money as he is really struggling at the moment and it will stop him stressing out so much.

Yesterday was a NSD and hopefully today will be as well. I've got a shift at 2nd job this morning followed by a late shift at my work so should be too busy to spend.

I found the christmas decorations :D suddenly minded that I'd chucked out all the decorations last year except the ones I really liked so I was looking for the wrong box. So the christmas tree is now up and looking very pretty.

Today I've been paid £34.61 from 2nd job so £30 for food and £4.61 to emergency fund. I've got two christmas lunches out this week, one with friends and one with work. I've only got £15 left from the social money that I budgeted at the start of the month so will probably have to dip into the dentist money. I'm so glad that I ended up not needing work done at the dentist or I'd really be struggling right now.

Very quick post tonight - work is horrendously busy at the moment and I barely have time to think about anything else. I wrote my christmas cards and wrapped presents tonight so that's done. Felt quite festive as I had a christmas film on as well :) Headed down to see my family on Thursday so have a lot to do before then.

Loan payment has gone out so now at 65% paid :T

    Today has been super spendy
    - £39.99 on a suitcase, desperately needed as the wheels on my old one are cracked and I need one for going away on Thursday
    - £7.82 on some food, haven't done a proper shop this week and no point now, have agreed with OH that I will give him the rest of the food budget for this week and he will get food in for while I'm away
    - £5.50 posting presents
    - £66 on christmas presents

Got my christmas lunch out with work tomorrow so it will be another spendy day then.

£15 spent on christmas lunch and £7 on a wee gift to take home to my parents.

I've done something really silly and forgot to hand in my timesheets for 2nd job so I won't get paid on Friday :( I've been working for them for 6 years and never forgotten before, I can only put it down to being so busy and stressed at usual job that I totally forgot. I've handed them in today but now won't get paid until christmas eve. I've also left myself short for travelling home tomorrow  I've got my tickets for as far as Glasgow but need to pay for travel the rest of the way. So the emergency fund has taken a hit - I've transferred £100 to my account and will replace it when I get paid.

Oh what a pain. Really annoying when being busy and stressed means you do things you wouldn't normally.

Yeah such a pain but hey ho it's done now, at least I realised and handed my timesheets in.

So £24 spent yesterday on travel and £2.95 on a coffee and snack. Considering I was travelling for 7odd hours, I'm happy with the coffee/snacks spend :)

Made a wee £5.87 to loan. I'm pretty sure I won't meet my target of being under £3500 by the end of the year :( but will see how I get on.

  • Ah well, at least you've handed in your timesheets now and have been reminded of the value of savings ;) Worse things happen at sea, so don't beat yourself up.

You may be able to meet your goal of getting to £3500 by the end of the year, but falling short by such a small amount doesn't mean you've failed. You should still be really proud of yourself and motivated to keep going in 2016 :) Your goal is just a number; the changes you have made to your relationship with your finances is far more important and will propel you towards freedom from debt.
