Thanks for a lovely post ABA - you're so right
although I get frustrated while paying off debt and wish I could pay more/get rid of it quicker, I have learnt so much over the past two years. Trying to get debt free has totally changed the way I look at money and that will hopefully continue once I become debt free

I've been trying to remind myself of these things — it's so frustratingly that the numbers change relatively little when I feel like a different person! C'est la vie!

Oops neglected my diary for a few days - had a NSDs Saturday, Sunday and yesterday but today has been super spendy. The boat I was planning to come over on got cancelled so I missed my connecting bus in Glasgow. Thankfully the weather improved so I got over on the next boat but had to buy another bus ticket - £31  but worth it to get home. I also spent £4.85 on a coffee, snack and magazine on the boat. Me and OH then went shopping to buy our festive food and spent £52.47 which is quite a bit more than I'd hoped but it will keep us going for a while.
Payday tomorrow from main job but OH unfortunately tidied away my payslip which came through while I was away and can't remember where he has put it so will have to wait until tomorrow to find out how much I have got and make a budget.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

Payday today - £1418.05
- £1200 DDs
- £18.05 BTcc
- £50 loan
- £40 January presents
- £40 emergency fund
- £20 electricity bill
- £50 me (this is to get some clothes and makeup in the sales plus I still need a haircut)
Payday from 2nd job tomorrow - £63.86
- £10 food (just for any bits I might have forgotten)
- £13.86 loan
- £10 emergency fund
- £30 meal/drinks out (going out with a friend who is up over the festive period)
Today has been a NSDand the inspection at work went really well :T I'm having a wee gin and tonic to celebrate
I've picked up a late shift with 2nd job tomorrow, not really what I wanted to do on Christmas eve but it's double time
so a wee bit of extra cash before the end of the year. Planning on having a lazy morning, the only thing I have to do is drop off a present to a friend on the way to work.

Thanks Rebecca, Merry Christmas to you too.
Had a good shift this evening, timesheet is handed in already just to be on the safe side. The £40 payment from 1poll cleared yesterday so I plan to pay that to the debt which leaves less than £30 to pay to meet my target so should meet it after all :j

I've made the £40 payment to the loan so just £27.71 to go to meet my target. I get paid again from 2nd job on the 31st so will pay £30 then
I know it doesn't make a massive difference in the grand scheme of things, as ABA wisely said it is the changes I've made that are far more important than meeting a self imposed goal but... I do feel better in myself knowing that I will make it
Work yesterday was good, I got home a bit earlier than expected and had a lovely relaxing rest of day with OH. I start work at 3 today so having a very chilled morning, may go a wander round the sales before work but really don't think I can be bothered. Away to go to the gym and then OH is going to make brunch when I get home so will see how I feel after that.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86
