A spendy day today - £26 on laptop repair, £3.90 on milk, fruit and tatties, £8.20 on a couple of wee christmas presents and £6.20 on drinks for me and OH after the fireworks.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86
Mortgage overpayment savings - £3.33/£50
Mortgage overpayments so far - £675.980 -
Payday from 2nd job - £82.11
- £30 food
- £20 social (replacing the taxi money)
- £21 dentist (now up to £200, should hopefully be enough)
- £11.11 loan
Now paid off 60% of the debt :j:j
Forgot to put in my post yesterday - I paid the computer repair money from the DDs account so that account is now £76 down. My plan is to try and replace the money from earnings from 2nd job but if I can't manage I will cover it with money from the emergency fund. I'm not working so much at 2nd job due to being so busy at new job but hopefully I can replace at least some of the money.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

I'm glad you got your laptop repaired relatively cheaply misstara, I realised that mine only overheats when I play a particular game on it so I've just stopped playing it on there and use the x box instead. Figured it was cheaper.
And yay to your amazing budgeting skills. If you know you have enough, you're rich.0 -
Hi Misstara.
I have just spent the last couple of days reading your diary. You are doing so well.
I have smiled at your triumphs and felt a little sad when you are down; as you really don't deserve that. You work hard. Your work ethic is amazing.
Be proud of what you have achieved. You sound like a lovely person. Keep it up a year will fly by and you will be debt free. Xx0 -

Thanks ani, one of the best things about being in debt is that it has taught me how to budget properly instead of just spending on whatever I like.
I'm very happy that it was relatively cheap to fix, I should get it back on Wednesday. Glad you figured out the issue with yours.

Thanks INOD
Haven't managed to post for a few days again. Loving having the laptop back, it makes such a difference - I can now properly type a post instead of pecking it out on my phone.
Friday
Had my girlie night out, was a fab night and still had £15 left from what I had budgetedI've put the £15 into the DDs account. I've worked out that if I put £5 more into the DDs account that should cover the rest of the months direct debits so that's not as bad as I thought.
Saturday
Got the food shop yesterday so spent £27.03. Got a YS pork joint which we had for tea last night and having the leftovers for tea tonight.
Today
A NSDI worked a short shift for 2nd job so that will be around £40ish on Friday. Am finding it difficult to fit in shifts for 2nd job at the moment but even if I can do one a week, it's an extra wee bit of cash.
