First day of the new job and it went well but was a lot of information to take in. A NSD as I just went straight home from work. Might need some milk tomorrow but will see how we go.

Oops haven't posted all week - been really busy at work and feeling so tired in the evenings
end of the first week at new job and I'm really enjoying it, just a lot of new stuff to learn.
Been a mostly spend free week, I went out for tea last night with a friend and spent £18.50 from the social envelope. I also put £2 into the tea/coffee fund at work and spent £3 on a few stocking fillers for OH.
Payday today - £136.46
- £26.46 loan
- £30 food
- £30 dentist
- £30 electricity bill
- £10 present
- £10 emergency fund
I'll transfer the money from the present fund to my brother tomorrow so that he can get my sister's birthday gift.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

I'm glad to hear the new job's going well. It's exhausting learning new things, sounds like you have it all in hand though.
I've also started my Christmas shopping, you totally inspired me!If you know you have enough, you're rich.0 -

Thanks ani, I'd forgotten how tiring it can be using my brain :rotfl: however hopefully this week shouldn't be quite so mentally exhausting. Glad to be of help on the Christmas shopping front -it makes such a difference to stress levels if you are organised.
Went food shopping yesterday and spent £28.08 so that should keep us going. Got a good YS haul again - fruit and gf rolls, muffins and bread. Had roast chicken for tea last night, heaps of leftovers so that's tea for the next few nights sorted.
Watched the rugby yesterday - fantastic game to watch but a few gins were definitely required throughoutgutted we didn't get through

A NSD yesterday, well I did order some Christmas presents from Am@zon but paid for them using vouchers from surveys so will still count it as a NSD
I ordered a couple of DVDs for OHs stocking, some candles for a friend and a colouring book for my sil - £22.95 and still have £49ish left in vouchers. Must try and get lots of surveys done over the next month or so to up that total.
Kettlebells class tonight so hoping that will kickstart my gym going again - I've been a bit lax recently. Also booked one for Thursday morning and next Tuesday evening.
Had a bit of a wobble last night - feeling stressed out about new wages and whether the pay increase will cover the drop in agency hours. Should hopefully get my payslip this week and then I can plan. I also desperately need a haircut, new clothes (most of my clothes are hanging off me as I've now lost almost a stone and a half since going gf) and new makeup (can't actually remember the last time I bought makeup, certainly not this year) but all this costs money and at the moment I just feel like there's none spare. However, after a good chat with OH, I feel better. I also slept really well last night so have woken up in a much more positive mood.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

Hi MissT. I am the same when it comes to haircuts, clothes and make up. I really hate spending money on those things, they seem like frivolous expenses, especially hair appointments, as my mum is a trained hairdresser so I've never had to pay or budget for hair stuff! (apart from shampoo etc, obviously!)
I know some hair salons do a models night, where the trainees practice, its usually loads cheaper, could you do that for your haircut?
I tend to put make up perfume and clothes on my birthday and christmas list, that way people know that what they are buying me is going to be used and I will be getting something I need as well as want.
Glad the new job is going well, I'm sure things will settle down and the new job will be worth it in the long run.0 -

Thanks for your post AleMrsT. Last time I had my haircut I got it done at the college and it was only £8 so I think I'll do that again. Putting makeup, perfume and vouchers on my christmas list is a good idea, I always do this for perfume - must make up a christmas list pretty soon as we usually exchange lists at the start of November.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

A NSD on Tuesday and a £2.89 spend yesterday on milk, chocolate and yoghurts. I'm now up to 12 NSDs this month so pleased with that, today should be another one.
I cancelled my gym class this morning as it started at 7 and I didn't fancy getting up that early. I went to my class on Tuesday and to the gym yesterday though. I start work at 11 today so planning a very relaxing morning and after work I'm going to help a friend pack up her flat.
Payday tomorrow and I will get £89.56
- £17.30 travel tickets (for my weekend in Glasgow at the end of November)
- £30 food
- £12.26 loan
- £10 emergency fund
- £11 tv license
