Payday today and I added a wee extra overpayment to cc1 to bring me under £8000 :j:j When I originally posted back in January, my aim was to get under £8k by the end of the year and if I'm honest, I didn't really believe I could achieve it... but I have and four months early :T I'm definitely on track to achieve my revised goal of £7k by the end of 2014.

I have updated my signature and put on my new mini goals for the end of September - total debt under £7750 and cc1 under £650.

Spends for today have been £11 on getting my eyebrows threaded and £5 on a pizza for tea. Food budget has been totally blown this week but plan on getting back on track next week.

I got my payslip in for weekly job so will get £110.41 tomorrow. I'll pay the 41p to cc1, put aside £30 for food and bus fares during the week and the rest will be for any expenses while we're away. We've got an 7 hour car journey ahead of us tomorrow so I'll nip to the supermarket before we go to stock up on car snacks, definitely don't want to spend my money in expensive service stations on the way down.

  • Wow - great news at achieving your goals early; you star you! I never doubted you for a minute!

    Happy travelling :) x

I'm back from the wedding and it was amazing, me and OH had such a good time. We also spent very little :T I came back up with £60 of the £80 I took with me. However I've also come back up with a broken little toe (I think, if not broken, certainly very bruised and sore :() thanks to some very enthusiastic ceilidh dancing which is not so good. Guess I'll be getting the bus to work for the next wee while.

I spent £13.74 in the supermarket when we got back on a few bits and bobs for the week, hopefully won't need much more though.

The rent and christmas savings direct debits have gone out today and I have made a £10.14 payment to cc1. I also need to go and pay the council tax and the TV licence today.

Hi dawnybabes, yeah I'm really pleased with the amount of money I came back up with. I've decided I don't think the toe is broken as it's not quite as sore as it was, however, it and the top of my foot are sporting a lovely range of colours.

So spends for yesterday were £3 on some shampoo and deodrant and £3.80 on bus fare. Today I spent £4.30 on bus fare and £2.84 on a couple of things to go with tea tonight. I have also paid the TV licence and the council tax. I received the £5 reward from my bank account so have paid it to cc1.

Spends for today are £4.30 on bus fare and £4.78 on lunch out with colleagues. I've got a day off work tomorrow so at least won't need bus fare and my shift for 2nd job on Friday is fairly close to the flat so hopefully I won't be hobbling as much and will be able to walk there and back.

It's been a few days since I last posted and I must get back in the habit of trying to post something everyday as it definitely helps me keep my focus.

I got paid yesterday from 2nd job and seem to have spent most of it already. Spends for yesterday were £16.99 on a birthday present for a friend, £12.95 on an engagement card and bottle of prosecco for another friend and £25 on dinner and drinks last night. I also made a £4.10 payment to cc1.

Today I have spent £8.11 on some food, I must go and get a proper shop at some point but with all my spending yesterday, I've now left myself a bit short. I've got £3 in my purse and £16ish in the bank to do me until Friday. I could use some of the money I've put by for the loan repayment and then pay it back on Friday but I'd rather not if I can avoid it. OH is also pretty skint this week so it looks as though I better do a trawl through the cupboards/freezer and see what we've got.

My toe is thankfully getting back to normal, its still a bit sore but I'm not hobbling nearly so much so I think I might try the gym tomorrow or Monday. Excited about this as I've not been for ages and I do enjoy the gym.

Almost a NSD today, just £1 on bread. OH's cousin has arrived today for a wee visit and so OH is cooking a meal for us tonight. However, I'm slightly annoyed as he is using 3 chicken breasts which would normally last us 3 meals (we normally have casseroles, fajitas etc to eek out 1 breast between the two of us). However, when I pointed this I just got a blank stare.

  • What did you expect? Isn't it enough that he's doing the cooking;)
