Sounds like it is all going well, and with your OH unexpectedly paying, the meal out was technically 'spend neutral' so that doesn't count really
Love your focus as always xDebt remaining:
Mortgage - £117,759 (£134,600, Nov 2013)
Work overpayment and home improvement loan paid back (£19200)

I just wanted to say that your OH sounds like one in a million. You lucky thing.giblet1979 wrote: »Sounds like it is all going well, and with your OH unexpectedly paying, the meal out was technically 'spend neutral' so that doesn't count really

Hi ani*fan and Gib, yeah he's not too badIt was lovely of him to give me money to pay for the meal. It seems that he is going to have more hours at work for the foreseeable future so hopefully I'll be able to get the debt down a bit quicker.

Mortgage overpayment savings - £3.33/£50

Not much to report from today. I spent £2.20 on bus fare home from work as again the weather has been horrible here. I also bought rolls and binbags (£2.49).Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

So payday yesterday - £131.29
- £27.31 phone bill
- £16.99 gym membership
- £1.29 payment to cc1
- £20 food
- £40 to wedding fund
My phone bill is higher than usual because I went over my data allowance so I have added on 1GB for £6. OH gave me another £50 out of his wages which I am going to put towards the rent.
Spends for yesterday
- £17.50 on a new tunic for 2nd job (sorely needed, my old one was looking a bit grotty)
- £2.50 on some kirby grips
- £7.96 in supermarket
- £2.40 on lunch for me and OH from Gr*ggs
Today we're both on late shifts so planning to go and get the last of the things needed for the wedding this morning.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

A spendy day today - £68.55. This got a pair of shoes and a tie for OH, underwear and a necklace for me and coffees. Think that's now us totally sorted for the weddingMortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

I nipped to M*rrisons after work today and spent £17.22 so have gone slightly over budget again with food this week
However, I think in general the new food budgeting is working out.
I've made a budget for my monthly wage - I'll get £1022.65 on Thursday.
- £910 for rent, loan and council tax
- £75 for payments to the credit cards
- £25 for christmas savings
- £10 Lovefilm
Leaving a whole £2.65 which I will pay to cc1.
I'll then get paid on Friday from 2nd job and OH should give me some money on Friday too which I will put towards the wedding fund. The only thing we have left to pay is expenses while we're away and for the car. I'm insanely excited about my little brother getting married but I will be glad when I don't have to constantly put money into the wedding fund.
OH is out at work at the moment so I'm going to have an evening of washing, ironing and trying to perfect my wedding hairMortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

Sounds like you are so nearly sorted for the wedding. Just think, if you can keep this focus, how much you'll have towards overpayments / savings?
Hope the wedding hair went well? What kind of a style are you going for? xDebt remaining:

Hi MissTara
Just stopping by the say Hi .
Looks like you are super organised, sorting out your food budget and also saving towards you brothers wedding expenses.
I always dread when someone gets married as its such an expensive thing, between new clothes, hen do's, presents etc, especially when its a close family member like your brother.
Hope you are enjoying the Bank holiday xx0 -

Hi Gib, I know I'm looking forward to being able to make more overpayments to cc1. However, there's always something else to be saving for like the next electricity bill and (dare I mention it) christmas.
I'm trying to do a french twist updo but struggling slightly. It looks super easy on the Youtube videos that I've watched but not quite managing it. Oh well I've still got a few more days to practiseStressedSteph wrote: »Hi MissTara

Hi Steph, yeah definitely trying to be a lot more organised. This time last year I would never have dreamed that I would be able to pay for everything without resorting to the credit card, just shows what a huge change there has been in my mindset.
Unfortunately I'm at the age where a lot of my friends/family are getting married - I think I will have 3 weddings to go to next year.
A NSD to report for yesterday, today £6 on toilet rolls, £2.20 on bus fare home and £1 on some juice. The gym membership and phone bill direct debits went out today and I have made a £3.01 payment to cc1Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86
