Are you for real, of course it was the point I was making...by your argument they could have a holiday for a year, it just means they don't get any benefits, so all is good :rotfl:

So I guess the answer to my question that you have swerded, is they can have 2 weeks holiday but no benefits, so the child would be penalised.

We got there in the end.

How would the child be penalised when the OP would still receive child benefits?

The OP has 3 children. They must be getting over £150 in CTC. They aren't going to starve.

They are not getting the benefits the government say children need to live on, that to me is penalising the kids for having a holiday.

A big portion of JSA is for the children, if that money is stopped because the family has a hoilday, that is penalising the children, you can agree they should be penalised or not but no matter which way to try and close your eyes to it, the kids are the ones being hit by this daft rule.

The poster to whom you are responding is one of those who seems to put more effort into finding loopholes in the system than in to forging their own way, off benefits.

There are all too many like that.

The poster to whom you refer also made sure he was not employed during his Bankrupcy. Least he got an IPA and had to contribute to the debts he ducked & dived from.

He spends time on the Benefits & Jobs forums letting people know how to play the system and talking sh!te.

The CTC and CHB, that aren't affected, are for the children.

The JSA is for the job seeker. A single person with no children gets the same JSA as someone with children.

And I actually said 'aarghhh' out loud while reading your post.

that's good to know then but they are still being penalised as the parent out of their JSA will still have to spend money on gas and electric. water and CC, if she doesn't get JSA the money she gets from elsewhere will go on those things.
