Hi all...
Well all the gifts are bought apart from my niece and her partner.
What do you get professional couple in their early 30's that live in London and have everything?
Any ideas? Homemade preferably.

Homemade biscuits in a kilner jar with a ribbon tied round it?
Home made chutney, pickles etc.
You could do boozy fruit - I used dried prunes - three quarter fill a jar then fill up with wine. The prunes soak up the wine in a few days and taste like plums.
I just had a surveyor round to value the house ready for the sale in January. Decided it was time to stop dithering and phoned the estate agent and increased the offer on the chalet bungalow I liked.
Fingers crossed that they accept.
Really touched as a bouquet has just been delivered from DH's cousin and his wife which is so sweet of them."This site is addictive!"
Wooligan 2 squares for smoky - 3 squares for HTA

Thank you elo[B[/B]na for your ideas.
I'm sure I can knock something up tomorrow. The prunes sound yummy! I also have a stash of jars, so can get a bit creative!:rudolf:Living a frugal retirement without treading on the planet :T

Hi, this is my first christmas as a singlie after my 22 year marriage (28 years together) ended this year. My 21 year old daughter was diagnosed with a long term health condition causing chronic pain, chronic fatigue and heart problems in march this year and is now using a wheelchair,my oh left us in may and my 18 year old son is now in the process of being diagnosed with the same condition
It's been a tough year emotionally and financially. Going to try and enjoy christmas but will be glad when it's all over to be honest. Hugs and merry christmas to everyone x

Goodness Hayleypoppins, that's an understatement saying it's been a tough year! Does your ex help support your children even though he's moved out? I hope you're able to relax over the next few days.
Bookworm, thanks for the dog biscuit recipe, I may try it sometime when I'm not being so lazy!
I really need to get myself into the kitchen, I've been so laid back about christmas dinner this year, I've bought things and stuffed them in the freezer...need to start preparing and get organized.
I have pastry and mincemeat, but pies don't make themselves, do they?
My mother made me a xmas cake
I have the spare bedroom to sort out as DS2 announced last night that he thought he would stay tonight.
I'm quite optimistic about the holiday this year. Tomorrow will be feeding my little family as usual, then a few days later I have a couple of days away, then I'm lucky enough to be spending NYE with singlie friends.
I usually just go to bed as I don't see the point of staying up on my own. Wonder if I'll be able to stay awake this year
I hope you all have a Happy Christmas :xmassign:
If you could live one day of your life over again, which day would you choose?0
