Evening all :) Hope everyone is doing ok?

I'm feeling pleased with myself this evening as all my xmas pressie wrapping is done :p I finally feel like I'm gaining some control back over my life...just hope it lasts into the working week!

JKS - goodness me you've had a tough week. I'm sorry that you are still being affected by those now former friends. You've had some wise words from other people already and I don't think I could add anything to that. Sending you a big hug though

I'm just catching up on this weeks masterchef... making me hungry though

Thanks for the hug BW - always appreciated :) I've had a quiet weekend as I've not felt 100%, so I've not been out at all except for the usual, exciting food shopping. Not spoken to a soul except for the grunty teens, so its been peaceful & today I've stayed in warm, cosy PJs & read in my bed while grunty teens had an X-box challenge day with pizza. They think I've been a super-cool Mum by letting them do so, but truthfully I've just enjoyed a CBA day.

Now the Xmas Radio Times is out I guess there is no point in trying to be an Xmas denier any more :rotfl:. Well done for getting all your presents wrapped BW.

Will be glad to see the end of this year as its not been one of my better ones, although I think I've said the same thing for a few years now & life hasn't been very kind yet. Fingers crossed for 2016.

Hope all are OK & the next working week isn't too arduous.
& as for some happy ending I'd rather stay single & thin :D

    I've been Money Tipped!
Im almost set for Christmas, I have a laptop I got for £20 on Gumtree that just needed taken apart and cleaned as it was full of dust so hot to touch and loud, but its so awkward to put back together to give to my dad, and away for 2 days visting my brother tomorrow, fingers crossed it will go ok as he lives in the Lakes area and he doesnt get visitors often.

Had to rearrange that date with the girl as her brother had a epileptic fit and fell down stairs, hes ok but in hospital awaiting checks.

Good evening folks :) Hope you are all ok

I braved the shops today during my lunch hour as wanted a few bits and bobs...it wasn't nearly as bad as I expected. Either everyone is done early or there will be a mad rush next week :rotfl: I'm just happy that either way, I won't have to go again :p

JKS - hope you are feeling better now. Nothing wrong with a CBA weekend ;) I had to smile when you said about the Xmas tv guide...as I love getting that for a nosey each year :D

Dekaspace - sorry you had to postpone your date. Do you think you will get chance to re-arrange before Xmas?

    Evening :)

Another work day down... only 4 more to go before the festivities can begin...! There will be a G&T with my name on it :D

    How are you all doing?

  • Hi everyone,

Hope all are well? I've not posted in a while but been popping in for a lurk like normal :)

Not much happening in my world and still very single... Seems that whenever I go out all the men are in LtRs. People keep telling me I need to wait for someone decent to get divorced which feels slightly creepy, hope they don't mean pick someone and wait for it all to go wrong :rotfl:

Have a lovely Christmas folks xxx

    Afternoon all :xmassmile

I'm slowly starting to feel more festive. I've delivered various gifts and caught up with friends I won't see over the holidays. Just the family gifts and visits left to do now (after a few more days of work).

I've just attempted to make homemade dog biscuits. It was a recipe I saw on a the Kirstie Allsop xmas show this week. They look ok to me... but the test will be whether the pooches like em or not :p

    Hope everyone is doing ok

    Hugs,
    BW x

Ooh, did you manage to find the page with recipes from the show?? I had a quick search but couldn't find that or even the chocolate dippers for hot chocolate. Could you share if you did find the page

I hope every one is going to have a stress free Christmas. I've only managed it since I've been living in the back of beyond here in France and found the courage to turn down the 'you must spend Christmas with us' invitations. I'm one of those people who prefer to lock the shutters and completely veg out on my own - it would be different if my children were near but it's far too expensive for them to fly out over the festive period.

So I'll be following my new tradition of watching back-to-back Lord of the Rings (extended versions) and the Hobbit and then all again with the commentaries.......... :D:D

In case I don't post again before the day

    HAPPY CHRISTMAS

and may you all have the festive season that you want.
