    No pee on the floor...!!

I don't know why some boys and men do this

I have a constant battle with my 13 yo DS about this. I can smell and see the pee, so why can't he?? And if he can, why oh why does he not clean up after himself without me having to behave like a demeanted person first??

Even worse is when they don't lift the seat and pee on that, then don't clean up ... nothing worse than sitting on a peed on seat in the middle of the night

p.s. according to Google, slugs (vile things) have 4 noses - you learn something new every day :)

You could threaten to call him about it in front of his friends (or actually do it) "DS you managed to miss the lavatory again, please would you go and clean up your !!!! from the seat/floor"

Or call after him down the street " come back and clean up your !!!! before you go out"

All involves quite a lot of bottle on your part of course....
  • Just might be having a good day! Shopping for an outfit for my niece's wedding (this weekend, not that I'd left it late or anything:eek: ) dress reduced from £129 to £29, matching jacket reduced from £120 to £29,factor in the £20 gift card I had and wahey - £249 outfit cost £38 :j

Then in Sainsbury's, when I asked at customer services for change to get a trolley, the very nice lady gave me a trolley coiney thing on a key ring (the one's you usually pay £1 for). Finally, when I got to the checkout, the elderly couple in front of me realised they'd forgotten their double cream. After much debate as to why they needed double cream I said that I would happily wait while they went and got it. Further debate (they could have got it twice by this point :D ) hubby is sent off to get it. Wifey opens the bag of chocolate chip cookies they had and insisted on me and the checkout lady having one while we waited for hubby to return with aforementioned cream. Hubby does not reappear and is eventually called over the tannoy. He had gone through the self checkout and was waiting for wifey at the other end of the store. It amused me anyway and anything that makes me smile is good, very good indeed :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Sounds like the elderly woman should take a flask of tea with her when out shopping......lol.

Great bargains on the clothes front.

Well i'm awake after my shift, and it's lovely and sunny here, it was freezing overnight. Can't be bothered to cook so have M&S mac cheese in the oven (not very good for the healthy eating bit of my 2014), to eat in bed I think with the house tarts of Orange county (always good for a laugh)....then up to attack 2nd wall with last coat of paint. if I have the energy will do 3rd wall 1st coat to then get that finished tomorrow morning, then move all furniture around to do the final wall. I might be scraping the barrel for paint on last wall, but this will hopefully be covered by wardrobes so won't be a problem if not perfect.

Two coats have managed to do it though....that is one area I don't think it works to buy cheap, I always get crown paint if it's just a basic colour or white as it does what it says on the tin....cheaper ones just don't have good coverage and you are painting for ever.
Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Going to have to rethink that scenario as have been screwed over by the company. A work in progress.

Meanwhile... On the other side is a very emotional story about a woman who decides to end her life because of the tragedy of cancer.

    I am in tears now.

Sorry folks, but it's still very raw. There are no rules for grieving are there?

I was right there with you.

A close family member is going through similar at the moment - got the news just before christmas that the chemo wasnt working and there was nothing more they could do (liver cancer) so currently in palliative care.

Glutton for punishment I will be watching tonight to see "the aftermath"

So .... Dare I say it! The Single Life is great because.....

For me.... I love eating cheese on toast instead of a PROPER dinner

I love having control of the zapper for the TV

I love staying in pjs as long as I want to.

I love kids....but glad I dont have them, sorry. No maternal instinct here!

I love being in control of ME...

I just love my single life.

    Love the thread.

I also love having snack-type dinners, control of the TV remote and radio stations, love kids - but couldn't eat a whole one :D - no maternal instinct here either.

and yes Calicocat the bed is very important - no point in having a side when there is no one to take the other, so I'm either in the middle or spread-eagled generally with one leg hanging out of the bed to cool down (those suffering the Big M will appreciate where I'm coming from :()

No consultations on where and when to go on holiday, what car to buy and interior design colours.

I'm right there with you.....i keep launching the cat in mid air in several times during my supposed sleep when throwing the duvet off.

I have just started venlafaxine as been recommended that as it apparently stops them dead in their tracks. I'm only taking half dose as don't like tablets to see what impact that has at first....and it does seem to be helping as the 'heatwaves' aren't as intense and less...and that's after two days. and thinking about I haven't had to do the leg out of bed thing last two days.

Thats interesting, I'm like you and dislike taking tablets - but I have thought about herbal remedies just because I refuse to give up my coffee and my glass of wine - which I can guarantee 20 mins after taking a few mouthfuls (exactly, cause I've timed it) I get the full blown glow :D

Well I was going to go down the sage route, but most I know said it worked for a while and then stopped. So I figured i'd just go for the hard drugs and cut out the waiting.

Interesting you saying about coffee as had one today and have noticed a heatwave....will cut that out as i'm not that bothered about coffee anyway it's just a habit.

Wine I haven't really tested properly......but think I may break my trying not to drink in the house and test this out whilst i'm painting....all in the interest of medical research of course......lol......and I am technically still on holiday apart from paying back a couple of shifts........i'm convincing myself here.

Actually I can't be bothered to put clothes on and go and get some.....so laziness is taking over any alcoholic tenancies today.
