Sorry for being missing in action - I am often too tired to use the computer and last night my computer glasses had broken and I tried to re-fit the screw but it was too small for me.

Busy day today, get the bus to the jobcentre and sign on, get bus back to the village, went to doctors to pick up prescription to be told they have emailed it to the chemist:j. I went to the chemist and picked up the prescription and now have a monthly order - I still have to sign it because I am on income based JSA but don't need to pay for it:j Also nipped to the optician who managed to repair my computer glasses and didn't charge me other than to ask me to make a donation to the flying doctors so I put my usual 50p in their box. Got bus to town and then walked to work.

I am getting my feet under the table at this work placement so fingers crossed it becomes permanent.

Mum phoned me last night to see how I got on and she made me laugh by telling me about some karma that she witnessed. She drove to the supermarket yesterday and as she was coming out a chap was driving in, in a very sporty car - there was bags of room to get past but in the end mum reversed back so that he had the space of 3 double decker buses to get past. The man drew level with mum and wound his window down and was gesturing and shouting at her. Mum ignored him and went on her way out but she saw this man again because he had left his car on the supermarket and had walked through a hedge and jumped over the barrier straight in front of a car which caught him on the leg causing mum to slow down, wind her window down and shout "Who is the plonker now?" before driving off. Apparently he was limping but mum thought it was funny that the karma happened quite quickly. She couldn't understand why he had parked on the supermarket when he was going to Argos because the car park at Argos had 3 cars parked in it and loads of empty spaces.

Byatt - I think I know the thread you are talking about on FB - the man who posted it is a buffoon. I think he is just a keyboard warrior - I had someone message me recently making comments about my looks and how my husband and children are embarrassed to be seen with me (ha, I have neither) he threatened to break my back and sling me in a ditch. Needless to say he was reported to Facebook and the police.

Dizzy - hope it went well at court today and that you had a nice lunch with your dad.

Mum2One - hope you are ok?

JKS - love that idea of being able to point at things to tidy themselves away including the ex under the patio.

I was chatting to my park manager yesterday as I had rung her to find something out for 'work' and she said she wished that she could be in two places at once - that would be a great super power to have, I wouldn't mind it.

I will be able to have a lie in tomorrow although I shall probably set the alarm (I hate waking up at 6.30am) because I need to go to the supermarket for bread and milk, frozen peas and some carrots.

Oh remember my make up artist friend whose boyfriend had a hissy fit for not receiving flowers on valentines day - well, they got engaged (a bit too quickly if you ask me). He sent me a message today to say that he missed chatting to me but he had been on a drinking binge this week with fianc! so he is unwell (karma), I thought he was just being fickle. Nice to have an apology and to be missed though.

Home safe and sound last ngt, what a farce it was, after all the false starts, mid morning they decided I could go after I'd had an IV drip.... simples... but this is me...

No my vein where the canula was had gave up, yet this one doc decided she knew best, she could get a canula in... thou it had taken 2 docs and 20 attempts.... she couldnt do it... despite nearly putting a needle through...

so compromise was a course of oral antibitocs, - get a shower and they'd redress me...2.30 4pm still sat with towel wrapped round me bust the dressing split...

back to clinic - got to go back nxt fri as the swab shows growths... so got to be redressed every day.

So funny seeing the consultants face - he asked what time did I go to theatre said 2 oclock - he was really impressed till I said not afternoon, the morning.....

Dizzybuff hope everything went ok today xx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx

Mum2one, what a rough time you've had, but still have your sense of humour. Soft hugs to you...

Horace, no, I don't know the thread you are talking about. My page is very private so only see stuff that friends post. If I don't like what's been posted by a third party then I block it...and sometimes the friend...I won't accept any posts that are threatening or advocate violence, which the postings that upset me, were doing. Not against me, it wasn't personal. I just don't want to invite those kind of people into my personal space. Anyway, it's been nice not being on Fb, although it's only been about 48 hours...

There are lots of positives, many cat videos :D etc plus its a great platform for petitions.
  • Being in two places at once as an "impossible skill" Horace?:rotfl:. Well...mind you....some saint or other managed it...wasnt it Padre Pio? That was one I used to think would come in handy when I still had to do a job - I could have sent the "double" in to do my job for me, whilst I got on with my life elsewhere. Mind you - I dont know if the "double" would have fought as hard to keep that job as I had to:cool:.

I'm lining up trips out to explore area with a walking group later this year and think I should have a rather more comprehensive picture of things by the end of this year. Am struggling a bit with finding "off footpath" public space to walk at the moment - but hopefully will find as much of it as I'm used to having. It's the wide open spaces that belong to Us (ie the public) that I'm in process of trying to find at the moment.

Byatt - My page is usually private but I had posted a comment on something and got a private message threatening me - what an idiot. For the most part FB is fun as I get to see silly videos and chat with my friends around the world. I was sent a picture yesterday which I shared all about the definitions for categories of cyclones. Cat 1 (a white cat with its hair blowing slightly), Cat 2 (cat with hair blowing away from its face), Cat 3 (all hair blowing madly in all directions), Cat 4 (cat with all hair plumped up and front feet off the ground) Cat 5 (two cats flying in the air). One friend sent me a snuff movie and she got told off for that one and for spouting off anti-semitic nonsense - she knows that if she posts anything like that again that she will be blocked.

Feeling a bit meh, I am coming down with something. Didn't sleep last night but lay awake staring at the ceiling. Knocked the alarm off at 8am but didn't get out of bed - I then slept until 11am. Pottered about at home but went shopping this afternoon.

Mum2One you have really been in the wars, hope you start getting better soon despite having to go daily to the hospital for your dressings to be changed.

BookWorm - great to see you back.
  • Horace, Well...re those Facebook comments. I will pass on commenting on the other remarks, as I don't know if they were personal (ie to do with a few people) or political and my "political" action for today consisted of leaving Israeli avocados on the shelf and buying the Spanish ones instead (due to longstanding boycott of produce from there).

    *********************

BUT....sending you a snuff movie:eek::eek:. Yuk...double yuk. I would not give a second chance personally to anyone who did that. Slammed straight off the list of friends and I'd be investigating whether I should report them to the Police (with a very good chance that I would do exactly that).

If someone is the sort of person who think its "entertainment" to even watch something like that themselves - never mind send it on to someone else - then they are just plain sick, evil or both. Sorry to be so blunt...but whatever sort of person would even view them in the first place? Are you sure that that movie is a genuine snuff movie? If it is, then you know what I think you should do about that person who sent it to you and, at the very least, it would boil down to = cut all contact right now. I'd hate to think I knew anyone who would go in for that sort of movie...._pale_

With your name - there is only one obvious thing to do with the money.

Buy a book - or go online or to charity shops or library sales and buy two or three!!!!
