    Evening all

Just a quick post from me to say hi and let you know I'm around. Still behind on some of the posts :o

I wanted to let you know what I have decided re: the hen do...... I'm not going. All of the comments that you gave were very helpful in helping me reach a decision and I wanted to say thanks again. Also particular thanks to LB who suggested buying a bottle of bubbly for the hen. I took your advice and bought a nice bottle of champers for her. She understands why I have decided not to go and was surprised but chuffed with the gift. There is no awkwardness and all is good. I never would have thought of doing that and I'm very grateful.

    BW :)

I think confidence is on a spectrum, I can be confident when I feel that I am on a sure footing, know what I'm talking about for instance...it can be reduced if I feel unwell or stressed or a stray comment from someone knocks me. It can be up or down when in a group of strangers or friends...or I am in an unfamiliar place...or I can blag it with the best of them...

:T that totally sums up how I feel about confidence.

I can easily take things to heart too. Used to be able to shrug them off more easily but find it more difficult these days. And I thought things were supposed to get easier with age

ETA - great sentiment in your piccy post Byatt :)

Thanks for the kind words everyone.

BW Glad that you have finally come to a decision regarding the hen party and that the bottle of bubbly was well received by the hen.
A good life is when you assume nothing, do more, need less, smile often, dream big, laugh a lot, and realise how blessed you are.

And from me, too. I'll be thinking of you and hoping you and your lovely boys get through tomorrow, and forthcoming days, as well as possible.

Slept very well with a little help from some herbal tablets.

Sitting here quietly, sipping my coffee, enjoying the peace and calm before the day starts.

Will have a nice long soak in the bath, and then just put the finishing touches to the flowers.

The butterflies are gone and I feel calm and serene.

thank you all so much for all your good wishes and kind thoughts.

I will spend the day surrounded by kind and loving people. We will spend the day celebrating my husband.s life. I dare say there will be both tears and laughter but all will be well.
