Sorry about this post but I've basically come on for a moan. Feeling sorry for myself because I've had a bad day and I'm in pain. It's days like this I miss someone else being here, just someone to say don't worry you rest, I'll feed the dogs etc or make me cup of tea. I know that sounds incredibly mardy and needy and I'm annoyed with myself for feeling that way. Most times I've very content with my own company but not today.
MrsB, we all have days like that and we just get through them in whatever way works best at the time. Even as happy singlies we're entitled to have our "woe is me" days. Get a good night's sleep and I hope tomorrow is a better day for you xx0 -

Thanks for the kind wishes, I'll pick myself up tomorrow. Just annoyed with myself as much as anything for not being able to do what I want to do. I love that series - so does my daughter, she wants to go to Benidorm to stay at the hotel they filmed at.
My daughter follows me with itchy feet, shes 11 but been to Tunisia 4 times, Dom Rep, Lapland, and this yr were off to Goa.
The funiest was when we were in Dom Rep, going back to the bedroom and this security guard asked if everything was ok, (we'd had a prob the night before) with a load of American students - thou we were o ground floor, they were on 3rd floor the whole block got woke up), then he asks could he take me and DD for a drink and show us around the sites, she burst out laughing, - it was a thank you but no thank you, (he was about 15 yrs younger than me) when anyone asked her what the best part of the holiday (we'd gone for my 40th - we swam with dolphins, sharks, sealion encounter, James Bond cruise) no it was mum being chatted up by the securuity guard.... bless her.

Morning folks.
Just popping in to say Mrs Bones........i hope you feel better this morning, and have a better day than yesterday.
That's the one area that is pants on your own...when you don't feel well or physically could do with a helping hand and there isn't one there.
Today i'm off to hospital again, then, it's paint the spare room from barbie pink to white. I didn't get this started yesterday due to having one of those days where things just don't go right and for various reasons. Anyhow, will get on with it when I get home today.

Got my washer coming this morning so need to get up and move stuff. Then at my voluntary job.
Bought a handy piece of kit on offer yesterday. It works by a laser beam and you can see where the cold spots are in the house it was quite surprising. Will be interesting to see what the difference is when back kitchen wall gets done next week.0 -
I'm lying in bed waiting for my bath to run and thinking about holidays I have had.
When I was in Gozo, I had a local bloke latch himself onto me. He followed me everywhere, turned up wherever I was practically every day.....and I was there with my partner, but this didn't put him off. If truth be told he was a bit odd.
Anyhow, he used to turn up and say he would take us to the secret places of beauty to go to that tourists weren't told about. These always involved going to (amazing I will give him) bays where you climbed up the rocks for what felt like for ever.....and would the tell my boyfriend to jump off and into the water.
Said boyfriend wouldn't back down or chicken out....so kept doing it every time. I was convinced local bloke was trying to bump him off, plus when b/f jumped it meant he had time alone with me walking back down. Local bloke also had an English 'girlfriend' about 30 yrs older than him who used to 'summer' with him in her apartment....and I spent my time thinking he was after another.
Funny now......and by the end of the relationship with b/f I don't suppose I would have been bothered about any fatalities (kidding...I think) from any cliff.
I wasn't keen on turkey and would never rush back there....we spent half the time thinking we were going to be kidnapped and kept for white slavery......those people really know how to stalk. Not all of course, but the area we were in was horrendous. we had to walk around in pairs, and the hotel had security to stop local men trying to get in.Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... or, alternatively, what clothes to wear when out and about sightseeing (ie of a very cover-up by Western standards style) and get told the relevant phrase for "*ff off at once you ****" if the cover-up clothing doesn't work:rotfl:
Errrm....what foreign trips I've had to date I have done the "cover-up" clothing tactic myself (head and all sometimes) and just had a few half-jokey comments about whether I was one of them (even though I obviously wasn't with my pale skin and hair). Havent had to learn an "*ff off" phrase so far:rotfl:
Come to think of it....I don't think I ever looked directly at any man either unless I was talking to them because I was buying something for instance and I had to. Hmmm....think that must be because I've had foreign boyfriends (here in Britain) before now and I'd learnt not to look at their friends too directly in case it got taken as a "come on".0
