Right folks...I am in fact in deep doo-doo. physical training week coming up next week, rowing machine didn't make it out of shed, and am totally unfit.

    Plan...

You have to say if you have any physical ailments obviously.

    SO.....i will be mentioning :
    High blood pressure....true...
    Cyst forming under arm again....true...
    That i'm awaiting a knee operation.....lie....(lol).

This should cover me not having to run around like a line for a week.

I also need to buy some flipping t-shirts for it as won't fit into ones I have.

Re: visiting grandparents as a child, I hated it when parent around too, but liked being with my gran just me and her, I would go and stay in the summer hols as a kid for a week or two, and when we both got older she would come and stay with me. I too am pleased I did this, I have memories of her that the other grandkids won't have, and I got to know her as a person...not just a relative (if that makes sense).

Did Byatt have muscles?? ...I may have missed what she had to eat reading this on a phone.
Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Going to have to rethink that scenario as have been screwed over by the company. A work in progress.

Was that intentional given your were talking about exercise above? :p Yes Byatt had mussels for lunch yesterday... assuming that is what you meant?

Or I have missed something and there is a man (with muscles!) in the cupboard?? :D

    Evening all btw :)

Ha, ha, Freudian slip, I did look back to see if I'd written muscles instead of mussels! :rotfl:

There's just been a 3 vehicle crash on the junction to the A road virtually outside my door, the noise was horrendous and I (in my slippers) along with other neighbours and all of the pub including the chef, ran out expecting the worst. It's pretty horrendous but no-one seriously hurt although a young girl was there and naturally shocked and upset. I provided tea with sugar as there was not a lot I could do...there were loads of us all wanting to help. The emergency services took 45 mins to arrive! So much for the window of opportunity of an hour. There was no-one seriously hurt, all walking wounded...well one woman was eventually moved (no seatbelt on) against all bystanders advice (we've all watched the docs)...a dog ran off, someone said the bloke was more worried about his dog, but I have to admit I would have been the same, as it was I wanted to go rushing off looking for it.

All 3 vehicles will be written off, have no idea who was to blame, the guy I was chatting to blamed the driver turning out from my road, saying he wasn't indicating, but his indicator was stuck on.

Neighbours said before 50mph speed limit set it was 1-2 crashes a week. It took me 10 mins to cross the road this morning, and people are trying to get the speed limit reduced again. All day there has been screeching tyres and horns sounding. I hate pulling out from there.

Sorry I'm all hyper now, all that adrenalin, it took me right back to my minor crash too.

edit, oh dear, one of the drivers is getting a telling off from police and is taking a breathyliser (sp) test  police are very angry. TBH not sure it was his fault, but...

I hope the dog was found as well as everyone getting help. My friend was in a really bad crash and her dog was found sitting in middle of field not moving after bolting(he went into panic mode then shock).

The worry is that when they bolt they go too far and get lost.

Well the guy with the dog (and the woman passenger not wearing a seatbelt), is the one who was drinking. The woman was drunk also, so I was told. But poor dog, I don't know if they are local or not. It could have been so much worse but the girl in one of the other cars was already saying it hurt from the seatbelt, plus their airbags deployed. The driver was going to move the car and I went running up saying don;'t move the car the police need to see it like this! plus I thought petrol was coming out and someone said a spark could ignite it, but it was only water...:o

I don't normally get involved, it happens a lot, but I thought oh god this is going to be bad.

Gosh that sounds like quite a bad crash then to be honest. If people are saying it hurts now, having been in a crash, they have no idea how much it will hurt in a few days!

And if those people aren't local the dog could be anywhere by now and will be probably very frightened.

Just been speaking to a neighbour, lorry drivers (who pulled up shortly after crash) said the two cars had been racing along the carriageway and the driver with the airbags was on the wrong side of the road when the accident happened, so I guess the poor driver who was turning out from my road was not wholly to blame, which makes me feel a bit bad because I didn't check he was ok, although others did. The dad was coaching this DD over what to say, but I thought he was reassuring her, at the time.

edit: yes Calico, I know with my crash I didn't hurt at first, but a week later it was agony. I was so glad I went to the private physio paid by insurers, but it took 2 months to heal.

as for the dog, people round here are very caring about animals so will look out for him, as well as take care of him if found. I'll have a mooch around tomorrow. It must have been scared to death, I'm angry now with those idiots.

You weren't to know, so don't feel bad. You looked at a situation and acted on what you saw, as anyone would do initially.

Re: crash and pain, don't be surprised if it suddenly creeps up on you again. I could get pain up to 2 yrs later with it if tense (usually when changing jobs/wards). But goes to show how fragile your neck is , that is now one of my 'keep safe' areas compared to legs or arms after that.

It's true, getting tense over something brings on twinges. I must say I was so impressed with the physio.

The police are still here, looking over the camper van with a torch! The other cars have gone.

Is it normal to take so long to arrive? Maybe they were told no-one was hurt.
