Spirit, just the cynic in me but don't be too lulled by DD's bf...accept his offers but it's the long term that counts. He's probably on "best behaviour"...

It's a lovely day here, but I'm in doing chores with the occasional potter outside. My DD and her drama has been the cause for the most disruption in my life, so stuff gets left, but like others' it would be nice to have some support at home, a cuppa when I'm knac...exhausted...:o

DD is doing ok, now...she is getting a bunny, of her own, is very excited and motivated, they already have the best of everything! We didn't go the rescue route, as she wanted a young rabbit and for a couple of reasons I thought, well why not. I'm going to be a grandma :rotfl:, I'm also looking at toys and stuff...there's so much out there! DD is making cardboard tunnels :T

BW, glad there's better news about the baby and mum.

    Thanks LB & Byatt :)

LOL @ all baked beans overload LB.

I had a good clear out in my kitchen cupboards last summer and I've been keeping on top of it ever since (well trying to). I didn't have lots of any one thing (well except tinned tomatoes but I get through lots of those anyway) but I did find a tin of rice pudding which was dated BBE sometime in 2007 :o I opened it and it smelt ok so I ate it... :rotfl:still here anyway :D

The silliest thing is it must have moved house with me as I moved in 2010!

I have anxiety symptoms if my stash of tinned tomatoes is low. I need to get some... :rotfl:

I've only got 1 double cupboard for food, so that's sorted. I've also sorted the freezer, the dreaded under the kitchen sink cupboard and the front porch (which had boxes of "stuff" in that were moved from the rickety old back porch, and now can't go back in the lovely new back porch). So, now under the stairs cupboard - can I fit 6 sacks of cat litter in?? and Xmas cupboard upstairs to do, and that will be enough for today.

The peeps on the breavement board have been very helpful again today, bless them :T so I also feel that I've move Mam's estate forward fairly painlessly while I've been busy cupboarding.

I luvs bank holiday weekends...the joy of no Sunday night before work feeling...fab! :T

Glad to hear the baby is doing wel :A

LB, glad you got your cupboards sorted, I too did mine last year when I painted (again) the kitchen cupboards.

Byatt, I'm sure DD's b/f is on good behaviour, so I shall just accept any offers of help from him whilst it lasts ;)

Glad too that your DD is getting a pet to focus on instead of her ex.

I had another busy day in the garden again today. did my food shopping late morning and then prepared the ground and put up my bean canes, sowed my seeds, planted the tomatoes and sweet potatoes out and generally dibbed about.

Might go for a wander round the garden centre tomorrow.
Mortgage free as of 10/02/2015. Every brick and blade of grass belongs to meeeee. :j

Aye, when I die, "they'll" be saying "she was an awful woman, but bloomin heck, her cupboards were tidy"

    :rotfl:

I can't help but think there is more to life than tidy cupboards, but I've been like a person possessed, and feel much better for it. Hopefully, now I've dispersed so much clutter, it'll leave my mind a little more disposed to spend less time thinking about it!

I have a small list of bits & pieces to do tomorrow, but hope they won't take long, and then I'll be free to enjoy a few hours. I was thinking of going to a NT place, but I still can't shower (the water is still a problem...luckily, I have plenty of whisky & coke in the house ;)). I don't feel I should inflict my "ripeness" on others :o, so maybe will go for a local walk instead.

Am trying very hard not to think about the cold shower I'll have to have if the water is still not sorted tomorrow....help!

Oh yes...any ideas what I could use a whole jar of marmalade for..?

Most of my ood stuff is easily used, but this jar of marmalade was given to me by my Dad when we were sorting his things out for moving last year...I'd prefer to use it if I can. Silly, I know, but I'd feel I was throwing a part of him out if I just bin it.

    :o
