Morning all
I've woken up with a headache this morningHoping it passes soon.
I'm looking forward to a day of pottering around the house and garden.
Have a great day0 -
Well I was going to cut the grass at the front this morning but it looks quite damp, and no-one else is doing it, so i'm guessing it's too wet still....dont want to electrocute myself the first time with new mower....
Oh...the new mower story.....
Does anyone else get flipping cheesed off that just about everything you buy you have to build now yourself??....last hoover I had to put together...very irritating and not a cheap one.
Anyhow, i'm in homebase in durham with mum, looking at mowers, nice bloke comes up (another one that's 12yrs old)...all smiles and telling me which one I should get. I ask if I have to build it...answer is yes.....so I say if you build it for me you have the sale rather than me getting it at home............RESULT.....mower was built......lol.
Sparky is back to Darcy status as he did phone LB.....and said that I was nice...
Right...will get my aris into gear and brush hair etc and go see if the thumbs gang are around and buy some cat food. I have recently been buying an organic cat litter from there......Jesus this will have to stop as the stuff ends up all over the flipping house!..and particularly all over the stairs and I hate hoovering the stairs. might plant up some more spinach seeds...for Asbo.Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Going to have to rethink that scenario as have been screwed over by the company. A work in progress.0 -
Well there was only one of them there, a different one to last time. They must love it though as everyone going in and out gives them strokes or cuddles. This one was older I think, looked around 14ish judging by mine, but then ferals might look older quicker I guess. He was lounging on one of the hutches, hanging out watching folk go in and out of the shop.
It's raining here now, so going to spend the day doing some cleaning/washing/watching recorded tv,and generally pottering around. I really should go to Ikea to get some shelving I need and build the flipping stuff....but I can't be bothered....pottering has much more appeal...along with having some fairy lights and candles on.
Enjoy your day peeps.
Hope the headache goes Bookworm, and that things are ok with DD Byatt.Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Going to have to rethink that scenario as have been screwed over by the company. A work in progress.0 -
Hiya guys, it's wet, drizzly and horrible here, I have to go out later and clean the chickens!
Hope your headache is better BW?
Calico, mmmhhh, interesting about sparky, has he arranged to fix the doorbell? I agree about having to build everything, it's annoying especially when instructions say "needs 2 people"...
My DD is ok, she is going to do a police video next week. She's packing gf's stuff and has ignored texts from gf. HUGE progress on previous relationships. I think she's going to be ok.
MTSTM, Waity's is not close to me (probably just as well), but I pass one on the way to DD's...must admit the food has been lush this time and all the better for being hugely reduced.
I find all dentists odd, (plus I'm phobic) other than the time I went to a non-NHS dentist which was absolute luxury, but can't afford it now.0 -
It's better than it was but still here
Wondering if it's the weather affecting me...?
I've done minimal chores today and now chilling on the sofa0 -
I do that too
very normal for me to have more than one book on the go
At the moment I have 3 books on the go, one real, one Kindle and one Nook.
I also have 4 lots of knitting and 3 crocheting in various states of completion. I think I have a problem finshing things14 Projects in 2014 - in memory of Soulie - 2/140 -
I wish I had a waitrose near me....there is a new M n S being built in next town so that will be good.
I have an injured bee on my decking..!....i think. He's just sitting there looking really cheesed off and not right at all. I thought initially he had a leg missing but it has appeared now. I wonder if he has flown into my back door......do bees fly into things and knock themselves out?? He isn't using leg that has reappeared. It's a funny looking bee...may have to google him.Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Going to have to rethink that scenario as have been screwed over by the company. OMG.....bless it. have googled it and it may be out of hibernation early, so have given it some sugar drink.....and it's sitting here drinking away!! It looks totally knackered. I've never seen a bee's 'straw' for drinking before....fascinating.
Next thing is.....how do I move it without hurting it or getting stung?.........lol....its doing some sort of exercises now....any minute now I swear to god it's going to yawn.
Will leave it drinking and see if it moves on it's own.Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Going to have to rethink that scenario as have been screwed over by the company. A work in progress.0 -
:T I'm sure the bee is very grateful hun - how fascinating to see one that close. I have no useful ideas on how to move it...think your suggestion of leaving it til it's ready to move may be best (no pun intented) :rotfl:0
-
Well it's had a spurt of movement.....now gone to sleep again I think....flat on floor all legs sprawled out...now its mate is buzzing around.
If it doesn't move i'll have to move it or it'll get trodden on, and if still sleepy should be under leaves.
I'll have to shove it in the geranium pot by the door and put some leaves on top as don't know where else to put it. ....asbo is watching it now. She won't do anything (too lazy)....pretty bizarre the both of us siting watching a bee sleep.Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D.......
