So i shouldnt see any slow down in speed?

Yes thats right. BT, TalkTalk and Vigin used to have a reputation for doing it at peak times. Virgin still do for ultra heavy users, but now both BT & TT don't. It is truly unlimited. And if you choose fibre, its mind-blowing good.

    Thanks for that post visionman.
    It's well helpful.
  • Just bear in mind that to get the BT TV channels you need to take BT Infinity, but you mentioned that fibre services are not available in your area so you may not be able to get them.

    Have you re-checked this recently?

If you can't get BT Infinity then the BT Youview box will only be able to give you the Freeview channels available via an aerial (which does include BBC One HD & ITV HD), and catch up TV / BT On Demand films etc., but not the extra BT TV subscription channels listed by Visionman.

I checked to see if fibre was available yesterday. Openreach has done work on the Box at the bottom of our road but when ever I check to see online if fibre is available it just says coming in 2015.
All I really watch is bbc1 itv c5 etc
If I went with bt with the Youview box to get hd Freeview would I be able to add the kids channels to this?
Bt online chat rep said I would be able to.

    Thanks

Also with the on demand service is the Youview box wireless ?
As my router is in my hallway and it wouldn't be possible to run a cable.
    Thanks

    Hi jess, I recently cancelled my sky tv and changed the bb and phone from sky to bt. I have had no problems with the bb whatsoever. With the tv, since cancelling, we now watch the free channels via the existing sky box and dish. Most of the channels we get are;

    All bbc, including bbc1hd
    All itv
    Channel 5
    E4
    More 4
Bt sport (free as we have bt bb)
    cbeebies
    5usa
    film 4.
