                    Hi
I am currently with sky and my total package has just gone up to
£64.00 a month,
I have line rental, anytime calls, unlimited broadband, entertainment extra with hd pack.
For the last 12 months i have had half price line rental and HD pack.
Today i called sky but the gentlemen i spoke to would not offer any discounts.
I have looked at BT and they can do everything after the discount period for £43.00 a month.
will bt broadband give me the same speed as i am currently getting with sky?
Also what is bt tv like?
Thanks

Bt tv is not a full sky package
You will get the same broadband speeds on ADSL but faster if you upgrade to bt infinityEx forum ambassador

BT broadband tends to suffer from heavy contention issues, I'd always choose an LLU option if available (and if not, I'd be looking at Plusnet, who run on the same BT infrastructure but are invariably cheaper). No free lunch, and no free laptop

Ye the tv package wont give me as many channels but i mainly watch BBC1 HD and itv1 HD.
If i knock the sky hd pack off i save £10.50 a month but they tell me i wouldn't get any hd channels not even bbc1 or itv1 hd.
My concern was that bt broadband might have been slower than sky broadband. I cant get fibre broadband in my area yet.0 -

Well, I've been on BT Broadband for a very long time and have never had any significant problems with speed dropping. So with Bt i could suffer slower speeds at peak times?
If you mainly watch BBBC1/2 and ITV1 HD, you could just get a Freeview or Freesat box and get it for a one of payment.0 -
