It is possible for people with so called baggage to find someone, there are a lot of people who get to their 30s or 40s and who have been married before and it doesnt put people off them.

Career type? Its 2014, its ok for women to have a career.

It was a question hence the question mark.

Not everybody wants to take on the 'baggage' of a woman with a career (or a man with a career), kids, Ex's etc.

Well if a woman or a fella is more interested in their career than their partner/family then I call that 'baggage'. Too many fellas and women are so career minded their families come very far down the list.

Yes, definitely. When women say they want a GSOH they don't mean they want to go out with Mr Stand-Up Comic. They often just mean they want someone who can laugh at themselves occasionally. I wouldn't base your view of people just by what you see on dating sites. People can be incredibly picky on dating sites in a way that people aren't in real life.

But we are talking about people going on a date. It doesnt have to end in marriage. You'll only get to know what someone feels about their career as you get to know them over time.

He said he wants a 'suitable partner'. I think it's reasonable to expect on a first date to find out a bit about them. Do they like kids, want kids, hate kids, like career, like holidays, been married before.
