MSE News: Yodel named worst parcel delivery service again

  • Why are Yodel so incompetent??? For 6 days now and 6 seperate phone calls to them on a non freephone number they still aren't able to delivery my parcel. They should have delivered Mon 24 Nov and as the day wore on I though that i'd check the status. Logging on to their tracking system I saw that they had my address down as Nottingham, I live in Milton Keynes! Having contacted them after this discovery and seeming updating my address details they still didn't delivery my parcel. I phoned again to check the details and still the address hadn't been updated, there now begins a pattern of events, every day last week I phoned to be told that the details had been updated and my parcel would be with me the following day and no on the 2 Dec still no parcel and now it seems as if they have given up and returned it to the sender, how appalling. I contacted them numerous times and asked them to call me to confirm what was happening and like the parcel, no call and no parcel, how rude. Yodel must be the worst company in the world. I have never taken to airing my grievances in public before but I am so enraged at Yodel I feel compelled to share my experience in order that you can avoid wasted life and money. How on Earth is this shambles of a company still going??

  • Perhaps a Yodel Representative would like to explain why the Yodel Direct prices have gone through the roof today.

    I paid £6.84 for a consignment booked yesterday and today when I went to book the same service has rocketed to £10.79!!!!!

    That's just lost my business!!

    i've got a parcel with yodel (unfortunately), their tracking advised that it picked up from service centre last thursday & initially said delivery expected Saturday. it's now just said 'delayed' for 2 days...

    I put if out please leave with neighbour. (This was printed on label)
    I was out, they left a card saying parcel behind flowerpot.
    Neighbour was in.
    This is an open forum, anyone can post and I just did !

    A day wasted here as my Next Day Delivery order from Ebuyer due to today has never arrived from Yodel, No reply to my tweets on twitter and the tracking shows it's never left Hayes Depot it seems.

    YODEL 24
    Parcel delivery within 1-2 working days throughout most of UK's mainland.
    Collections and Deliveries both enjoy over 98% success.
    Collections are between 7am – 7pm.

    It may say next day delivery on Ebuyer.
    However thats not what Yodel say.
  • Yes well it's what I paid for, You can't say 24 hours is 48 hours it's false advertising on Yodels Part. My Other orders from ebuyer came from Parcelforce NEXT Day. DPD can do it, Interlink as well. UPS as well..

    Anyway Yodel NOPE.

    "We are sorry, but it appears your parcel has been delayed. Please find details below."

    Of course there are no details. just delayed because they can't be bothered...

    It doesnt say 24 hours. It says 24.
    You paid Ebuyer for a next day delivery. Ebuyer used a service that by its own description isnt.
