Hmmm my Item is supposed to be out for delivery today AGAIN!, someone I spoke to yesterday said it had been loaded on the van yesterday and driven all round the houses and returned to depot for no reason at all.0

article from 10.12.14, it's the Daily Mail so might not be overly accurate, but even if only some of it's true, it goes a long to explain the current chaos.0

My Monitor arrived at 16:06 today, the slowest so called 24 hour delivery I've ever seen, the driver thought I was going to tear his head off (probably had a lot of that today) but it's not his fault it's all the people further up the food chain.0

Christmas deliveries face delay as Yodel warns of parcel backlog
Company, which handles parcels on behalf of major retailers, says deliveries could take three days more than planned
It's the shops fault.....apparently:money:Yodel pointed the finger at poor forecasting from retailers for its difficulties.

In a ironic way it is partly the retailers fault for using or continuing to use the most complained about and badly rated courier services in Britain, I mean how are the retailers making money when they have to replace peoples orders over and over due to them being lost or smashed?
God help us if Yodel decided to get into regular mail deliveries.0 -
stand back in amazement folks! my parcel is currently...out for delivery!!
hmm, we'll see...0 -
Got my delivery charges refunded by Ebuyer this morning.0

We sent a parcel a week last Tuesday via Yodel. It arrived at the receiving depot within about 3 days (booked a 48 hour service), over the next 5 days, according to the tracking, they supposedly attempted to deliver it but there was an address query. We submitted detailed directions to them on around day 6 but it still showed as an address query. The customer was there every day, all day and there had been no sign of them nor a card left at any time.
On the morning of day 9 I contacted them and said I wanted the parcel returned and a full refund given as it was a service failure. They refused to refund me stating that is wasn't a service failure....erm....but they haven't delivered the parcel....that to me is a service failure. They then stated that the customer hadn't been in or the address was wrong...another load of rubbish. I said that the service includes collecting and "delivering" parcels and that I was going to contact trading standards as they advertise that they will give a refund for a service failure.
I re-did the order and drove over to the customer and delivered it myself yesterday. Guess what, whilst we were there talking to the customer, who should turn up....but the courier with the parcel. I'm disgusted that they refused to refund me saying it wasn't a service failure when it clearly was and the fact that I had to take time out of my busy day to redeliver an order due to their complete incompetence!!0 -
