Tigerfeet - no need to pierce the swede, just bung it in, in a dish that`ll stop it rolling about!! Time depends on size, so 5 mins then feel if it`s soft, another 5 if it isn`t, then 2 mins after each check till it feels squishable. Older ones cook faster, fresher ones a bit longer (I`ve done this a lot lately. Yummy!)

to all the posters who offer their advice freely and openly. I have learned so much and feel part of a community on here. I dont feel its wrong to do the money saving things I do any more nor do I feel its odd. I have support being a homemaker having found similar minded persons on here all of us doing the same. And all those lovely people who help each other out, when we post,in times of stress or anxiety. So people, you are wonderful.

Can I add my thanks to everyone too? A day wouldn't be complete without sitting down to a little natter with you all. Thanks so much everyone, especially the people in the background who keep this whole thing rolling along. I learn something from you all every day. Thanks a lot and very best wishes for the New Year:grouphug::beer:
