to all the posters who offer their advice freely and openly. I have learned so much and feel part of a community on here. I dont feel its wrong to do the money saving things I do any more nor do I feel its odd. I have support being a homemaker having found similar minded persons on here all of us doing the same. And all those lovely people who help each other out, when we post,in times of stress or anxiety. So people, you are wonderful.

Actually, the whole MSE forum is brilliant, but it`s so huge you could never keep up with it all, or remember where you read a post/who to go back & thank when you try a tip and it works. So, thanks for starting this thread, Oldtractor.
HERE was where I rediscovered Stardrops. And using vinegar for cleaning. And Aloe vera gel for moisturiser.
HERE was where I was browsing a couple of weeks ago and read that you DON`T have to peel & chop a swede, just microwave it like a jacket spud then scoop out the innards! I tried it, felt like I`d discovered a new veg, & have since told SO many people, all gobsmacked at the idea they`d never have thought of. And as I don`t know who to thank or where I read it a HUGE thanks & many Blessings on that poster if he/she reads this.
Mostly, I thank the Messies (because they help keep me sane!)

    Well said oldtractor!

I don't post very often but lurk and learn most days, so far this year I've shaved £100 a month off our grocery bill DH can't believe it as we're eating far better than we were before. I've also started decluttering and even the housework gets done more often - all thanks to the hints, tips and support on this board.

I've also laughed and cried along with many of you, I feel like I've got a virtual extended family
