:jI have the whole day to myself apart from a little washing/ironing

So far have cut the grass, pulled all the big weeds out of the beds, swept the patio and sorted the shed storage

    Garden recycling bin is full

I feel invigorated from the exercise and fresh air

And I would not have had time for this if I had not got a wiggle on in the house earlier in the week.

Off to town now to buy DS a black shirt - he has a trial for a job tomorrow and needs one as part of the uniform. They have offered a second hand one for the trial but he would rather wear a cheapie and be comfortable knowing no-one has worn it before.#

If he passes the trial he gets the job so fingers crossed everyone - this is an important week for him. Job trial tomorrow, life guard course Monday, driving test Thursday - collapse on Friday :rotfl:

Whilst in town may declutter a Costabomb Hot Chocolate - reward for all my hard work in the garden :j

    Have a good day everyone

You are so welcome. We all feel like we have another family here, especially when times are tough. I know I appreciate it so much.

  • I'd just like to say a big thankyou to all who post here on the Old Style boards, I'm a (very) long time lurker and have picked up so many useful money saving ideas which I plan to use when I move out of home and in with my fiancee. That probably won't be for a while yet :( (he needs a better paying job before we can even consider it) but in the mean time I will continue to pick up hints and tips from you guys and offer any help wherever I can.

I'm going to do my best to post as often as I can but I don't have too much free time. When I get home from work this evening I plan to have a good look through the threads and hopefully chip in with a few contributions.

I really felt compelled to actually sign up to the boards and thank you guys for all your tips because you seem so friendly and as 'oldtractor' and 'trifles' said you have such a lovely sense of community and everyone is so supportive. I've seen forums in the past where everyone seems to have it in for each other and it's always a massive argument and it's that hostile attitude that puts people off contributing.

Wasn't sure where to post this so please move if you think it should go elsewhere.

Just wanted to say a big thank you to all, have learnt so much from you all and love reading the threads every eve, it makes my day!
2019, move forward with positivity! I am the opposite of Eyeore :rotfl:
