thank you for all of the above

thank you for Boots 75% day - knew about it from this site and booked the day off on leave and covered 80% of my Christmas & Birthday gifts for £80.

thank you, thank you, thank you for stardrops. Haven't bought a brand cleaner for over 2 years and only bought 3 bottles of stardrops = what a bargain!

thank you for the inventiveness of so many people on this board. I don't do inventiveness or thinking outside of the box but can learn from those of you who do.

thank you for the Tightwad Gazette

thank you for my "left overs" soup gained via here and Tightwad Gazette. Free lunch for me everyday as a result.

Don't post much but am on here everyday learning, always learning from all of you who are so much better at it than me.

    THANK YOU FOR THIS SITE

    Nice to save.
  • :p Hi everyone,:hello:

I too look at the site most days but don't post as much as I'd like - the site is so addictive and I'd never get anything done :rotfl: :rotfl:

I'm especially thankful for cashback sites info, getting cashback too for using switching site for utilities and the proper use of a sealed pot. I used to do that in a half hearted manner in the past, but since joining this site have become a member of the Sealed Pot challenge and find I'm putting a lot more in it than before...:j - inlcuing the odd £5 note (though I know its not change its been acquired unexpectedly....:D ) - am so looking forward to opening the tin at the end of the year.

And I really MUST try out Twink's hob nobs as I keep reading about them all over the place.....

And finally - a massive thanks to The Man himself :money:

Hi guys, would like to thank all of you.
Those of you that take the time to give us your wisdom, share recipes and help make my life easier.
Those that take time to say hello even if they don't have the answer to my [STRIKE]stupid [/STRIKE] questions when having a 'doh' moment.
But most of all for making me cry with laughter at some of the things I thought only I did:rotfl: . Making me realise that I can change my life to be better and cheaper, and I am not the only one trying to do it.
Therefore thank u for making me a happier person-I'm sure the kids appreciate it.:A

Thanks for the thread about Panansonic bread makers!

I bought one a week ago (£59 in the Amazon sale) and my DD who was home for the weekend could not believe I had baked it as it was so much nicer than my previous BM had produced - really light and fluffy with a great crust!

Thanks to weezl for the recipes for lentil pate and home made houmous.

I now use vinegar in the rinse compartment of the dishwasher and it works better than the expensive stuff.

I now make stuff from what I have in the house rather than just dash to the corner shop for bits and bats!

dough for a dozen bread rolls is in the BM and then I will make a large French loaf after shaping the rolls ready for baking.

Thanks most of all for the support when my father was diagnosed with terminal leukaemia.

Should I be putting my banana's in the fridge? I've not read that before, does it make them last longer?
