I thought it was just the extremists in the us that did such vile things. I'm sure most women who decide on abortion don't just make a snap desicsion so they should not be subjected to abuse like that. No one should
There's a clinic near me and whenever I drive past during opening hours there's people (mainly older men) with banners and stuff outside.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0 -

What disgusts me is those type of people don't think about their actions. From photos ive seen of those in the US they hold up photos of massively inflated pictures of embryos - which are often factually inaccurate anyway, but forgetting there could be ladies or men walking past who could have recently suffered a miscarriage or such like and they are shoving these placards in their faces. I also don't see them with any adopted children..0 -

Well you wouldn't actually know they were adopted just looking at them. Well I wouldn't.Sell £1500

No of course not. I just mean that those type of people often bang on about adoption but don't adopt kids themselves.
They are just concerned about stopping abortions, but they don't seem to care what happens to the children after that if they were to prevent one - its not like they would go round to a mothers house and watch the kids whilst she goes to work, looks after a baby so she can sleep etc, or give her money for food.0 -

I can't understand how it is now OK to just abort a baby for financial reasons... I didn't even think that was even legal.
To be fair, not many people, including myself, do think having an abortion as something that is 'OK'.
I think it can be a necessary thing, a sad thing, a painful thing, a desperate thing but no woman. It's never OK, they rarely feel OK.
And as for not considering the financial implications of bringing a child into the world, I can only assume you are blind to the present day results children whose parents cannot/will not support them.0 -

I don't get it. Are people supposed to not talk about or flail about things they're happy and excited about, in case it offends someone who may have suffered some loss or misfortune?
And how do you know the people you're referring to haven't got any adopted children?0 -

OK.
I don't know anyone who does that sort of thing so I don't know if any of them adopt children or offer support. I think there was a Catholic Bishop who was offering help to pregnant women who were considering abortion for financial reasons but it was a few years back and I don't know if he actually did anything.Sell £1500

I'd been wondering about this.
I know someone who has worked on the periphery of the development of this system & she still thinks it will never be truly fit for purpose. I have nothing to substantiate this gossip but it's good enough for me!! I want out.

I actually saw some people protesting outside our local NHS hospital, which bemused me. Fortunately they weren't near the maternity or gynaecology units, but at one of the car park exits. I was in the car at the time, or else I might have had words. I'm not sure what they would have thought about a (at the time) heavily pregnant woman arguing with them about a woman's right to choose.0
