Good luck getting up to £100. It's pretty dead on there right now. I've been working since around 9.20am and I'm only up to £10. It should be busier tonight though.

You'll find that more people log on towards the end of the month to boost their funds, so it's always best to do what you can at the beginning of the month.

Ooh, that's useful to note - thanks! Hope it gets a bit busier for you this morning/afternoon. I'll be logging on about 7ish so hopefully there'll be a steady flow of questions for a couple of hours, though every time I've logged in at that time in the past week it's been dead. It seems busiest late at night!

It gets busier after they send out the reminder texts, which I believe go out around 7-8pm. There was a nice steady flow around 8pm last night for an hour or so.

    See you on there later!!

    Morning all!

£40 direct debit for the Halifax card went out this morning so guess what... ITS TOTALLY PAID OFF!! :j Three debts have become two debts, excellent!!

Last night I managed to get to my goal of £100 on 63336, so I should get paid that sometime next week (I think). Very happy to have made £100 in my first week. I'd have been happy with that over a month! Set high standards for myself now though :o

But now, since its the end of the month, it's time for......................... a monthly roundup!

(I'm a bit hyper since it's Friday, can you tell?)

Another month down - two months into this debt-busting malarkey and so far, so good! I've exceeded my targets each month so far, which is amazing for me. I don't have much staying power and I have even less willpower but so far I've resisted any unnecessary spending, managed to stick to my budget without it even being too much of a struggle, and even more amazingly.. I'm actually ENJOYING doing it. YNAB has become a big part of my life, I wouldn't have been able to do it without such an awesome budget (and of course the support of you guys here)

Well done for clearing your first debt :T - you have had an amazing Feb!

Also fab news on the £100, can't believe you made so much in your first week. If it continues at that rate, your debt will be gone well before the end of the year.

Hope you have a fab day and do something nice to celebrate x

Well done on clearing the Halifax card :T

The £100 will probably hit your account a week today. It's usually around the 7th of the month it gets paid (sometimes later if a bank holiday is involved).

  • Well done on paying off the Halifax debt - that must feel amazing!!

Also big well done on getting the £100, would be great if you could get that every week!

Looking forward to seeing what March brings you hon x

  • Quick update before I sign out for the weekend!

I registered with HMRC to pay tax for my earnings from 63336. At least I think I did. Their website is so un-user friendly (...user unfriendly?!) it's unreal.

I've decided to set myself some goals for March.
    • Earn at least £300 on 63336.
    • Get the overdraft under £1000, and reduce it at the bank.
    • Pay at least £160 off the Barclaycard.
    • List at least 10 new items on eBay.

It's a high aim - I'll need to pay over £400 off debt to reach the targets, but I should be able to do it, taking into account the £100 I'm due from 63336 (if I do some more tonight may be able to squeeze it a bit higher!) and certainly if I manage to do a bit more ebaying.

I also need to keep checking into MySurvey. The extra £5 or so a week was nice! I've not done a survey for a week or so and the last couple days I've logged in there's been none for me.. boo.

Anyway. That's my March lined up for me. Fingers crossed I'm not aiming too high.

Have a lovely weekend everyone x
  • Good heavens Kim, You are on fire girl .

Paid off a Credit card AND made £100 on 63336. Well done.
It certainly won't be long before you are down to one debt.

Keep going you are doing great. xxx
  • Thanks for the lovely support everyone - its very humbling :o

Not much to report from the weekend - fairly low key. Spent a bit more than I should on groceries this week - £30 in Aldi (which is "going mad" for me lately since I've been spending under £20 :rotfl: - we did get a lot of nice things for that though) and another £8 in B&M/Home Bargains on bits and bobs. The rest of the month needs to be back to £20 spends!

Although I will get £4 back later in the month since I did my first ever Mystery Shopping exercise this weekend - yay!

Earned £20 on 63336 over the weekend (£10 a day). I should have done a bit more, but I'm happy enough with that. As long as I do £10 a day I'm ok, going to try and do £20 a day whenever I can though then that means I can have a day off and not feel guilty about it (since I want to meet my target of £300 for the month).

Other than that.. fairly quiet. I'm hoping Optical Express will call today to let me know my new glasses are ready for collection - I can't wait to get them.

Only got 4 days at work this week, then I'm off for a full week. CANNOT WAIT. Nothing too exciting - my parents go abroad a few times a year, so I look after the dog for them. It's my birthday on Saturday too, and OH is also having 3 days off work with me so we've got a lovely long weekend together to look forward to :j

Hope you've all had good weekends! x

Haha this made me laugh :rotfl: I'm exactly the same, its amazing the change in mindset since I've started budgeting for food, making a list for shopping and actually sticking to the list instead of going round chucking whatever I fancied into the trolley.

Did you get your new glasses? I'm going to get more contacts today - have decided I don't like wearing glasses all the time. Think though I will have to get new glasses at some point in the nearish future as I have had these ones for ages and they are getting quite scratched.

Do you have any plans for your week off/birthday? This sounds ace - I hope you have a lovely weekend off with OH :) I've got 10 days holiday coming up in the middle of March and am so looking forward to the time off.
