Hi Kim
Fab news on hopefully paying off CC2, that only leaves you with two debts. I am VERY jealous.
I think S#ntander must be quite flexible with who they give bank accounts to, as I was very surprised to get a yes from them when I switched recently. Their 123 account pays you for paying Direct debit to your utility bills. Works out for me around £14 per month. Might be worth you investigating. The online form was very simple and the answer came through in about two days I think.
Well done with such thrifty grocery shopping. I thought I was doing well with a £60 per week budget. You put me to shame xxx0 -

If OH hadn't bought us a takeaway it wouldn't have been quite so thrifty! There's already a lot of stuff in the fridge/freezer so I got away with buying only the bare minimum.. it won't be quite that good every week!
I did look at the Santander 123 account and checked out their website. I do love the idea of getting the cashback, but since I rent/have no mortgage, and my utilities bills are quite low (I have a 1 bed terraced cottage!!) I don't think it'll be worth it for me - not sure I'd make enough to compensate the £2 a month fee. It's a shame really - I almost wish I was paying more to get more back! :rotfl: I'm more tempted to sign up to one that will give me the £100 for joining too...

Evening all
Today I got £3 Paypal for the Pinecone survey I did yesterday, and I've sold an item on eBay - £8, so probably £6 or so after fees. So now I can withdraw some more from Paypal and put that in the overdraft pot.
I've also applied to 63336 for a researcher role. I didn't know anything about it until I saw posts on here on the Up your Income board. Apparently people make an easy £200+ extra a month from it. It sounds promising - fingers crossed my application is successful.
Other than that, nothing too interesting to report. Just six more days until payday... not that I'm counting down or anything!0 -
Just updated my signature. With the £5 the other day from MySurvey, and today's ebay sale and Pinecone money I've been able to withdraw £20 from Paypal and paid that off the overdraft. Already paid £90 in Feb, that's all just from extra money I've earned, so I'm very pleased. Once I get paid next week I'll smash that £300 a month target!0

Morning Kim
Well done on making an extra £90 this month, it just shows how every little bit adds up to a really decent amount of money.
I often discount the surveys as its seems such pin money, but you have proven how with a bit of perseverance you can really make it pay out. :T.
Great to see those number going down. Keep going xxx0 -
Morning hon

Thanks for your kind words guys, it means a lot to have your support. Honestly, I would not be able to do this without the bit of support I've been getting here.
I mentioned I applied for the 63336 researcher role - well I passed the application :j Just got to do some "training" type stuff, then I should be able to start earning. VERY excited, because it should be an extra £100-£200 a month, more if I work hard. Doesn't sound like much but to me that is a LOT of money and if I manage to work hard there's a real chance I will be able to pay everything off a lot sooner, maybe even by the end of this year (not getting ahead of myself but it's a nice thought!)
It means I'll have to work 15 hours a week in my own time, between 3-10pm. So 3 hours, for 5 evenings a week. That doesn't sound bad at all to me! In the evenings I'm often on the laptop anyway, filling in surveys etc., and at the weekends I should be able to do a big chunk in the afternoons when OH is on the Playstation.
Not sure when I'll be able to get started, hopefully soon- they've been very prompt in getting me signed up so far, so hopefully by next week I should be fully up and running.
I suppose I need to get sorted with HMRC now for tax etc. Blergh.0 -
Hi,
Congratulations, that's fantastic! With an extra £100-200 a month, you will be able to see a huge reduction in your debt. Wouldn't it be great if it was all gone by the end of the year.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.9.25 - £106,033.77
Mortgage overpayment savings - £0.35/£50

Thanks Tara
Oh it would be amazing... I must admit I've already played devil's advocate and did the snowball calculator based on earning an extra £200 a month. Debt would be gone in 11 months... oooh, would be nice! xx0 -
Morning all
Well yesterday was a fail, I packaged my lunch up ready to bring to work - then walked out the house totally forgetting about it.. doh! I had to spend £3 on a lunch, but not too bad considering its the first time I've had to buy a full lunch this year (well, kind of - I've been occasionally naughty and got treat from Greggs...)
Budgeting the money that is in my purse hasn't stopped me wasting it - I've still whittled the last £5 that was in there down to nothing and I'm not sure what I've spent most of it on, so that's just going to have to be written off. Doh.
In better news I earnt my first £10 from 63336 last night! I did my induction then was let loose to answer questions. It took me about 2.5 hours though, so it's going to take me a while to hone my skills to get a decent hourly wage. Still, not bad considering I was just sat on the sofa in my dressing gown - and it was quite enjoyable. Hopefully I did ok - the first lot I did will now be assessed and we go from there.
I'm SO glad its Friday. For no real reason, this has been a hard and stressful week. But yay weekend :j0
