    Good morning :)

So mystery shopping interview completed, wasnt too bad, simple and nice £100 :D So now need to work out what to do with it. Think will put £50 aside for hoss trainer (2 sessions) and £25 for farrier (due Aug), I owe £5 to yard owner so have £20 left. Need to get some fly spray for the hossie prob about £10 so will use that and the remaining £10 for prob fresh top up food later in the month. I already have £25 put aside for hoss trainer so will add to farrier fund for Sept/Oct. I have budgeted for the above already but will be able to make up the shortfall of pay and hope to top up my insurance fund and then be able to make some overpayments. Not touching money at the moment, leaving in my account as still early days, but will re-evaluate come a few days before payday.

Should be a NSD today, lunch bought in and have food in the fridge for dinner :)

Fly spray - 800ml of cold tea (just put your used tea bags in a jug for a day or two!), add two tablespoonfuls of white vinegar and a teaspoon of Dettol. Works a treat, costs pennies :)

    hi BB

Just checking in to see that you and hossie are ok. Sounds like you are still slogging away at it. Must hard with the house situation still ongoing with ex still there.

Fly spray is ridiculously expensive - someone at our yard makes it but I am sure the flys are getting immune to it now. Might try your recipe Caz.

    Good morning world :)

Thanks for dropping by, Caz will definitely try that recipe :)

Have divided the money up, put aside and have £20 spare. Will try and keep for misc food spends etc.

£10.10 received from survey site so that has been sent to my insurance pot, now stands at £275, only £30 left to find :)

My transfers have gone through to my new CC. I am due to pay out £130 in min payments this month but hopefully these wont be needed (as will be in credit) so should be able to re-direct these elsewhere. £30 can be my final insurance payment and £100 to the CC. Just wait till end month and see what works out.

Had news that ex is seeing somebody, thought they would, its been a long time coming, which is great as could mean him moving out sooner rather than later. Lots of thinking needed because I couldnt afford the mortgage yet by myself to take on, short term will be ok as parents would help me out but would mean ex's name still on mortgage, brain hurts, lots of thinking to do.

In the meantime all eyes on clearing the debt as this will affect everything.

    Good morning :)

Have set up payment today for the bcard from my a/c to pay easier, just £1 to make sure that goes through, but keeps it simple so should be able to start overpaying soon.

Was good and listed 10 items on ebay last night, already a few watchers, a few more pennies hopefully to add to the pot. Am determined to clear this debt somehow, and now with the ex moving on its more important to do now more than ever.

Spent 50p on parking yesterday at doctors, NSD today, dinner cooked last night with leftovers for last night. Had lots of strawberries from the garden, runner beans, carrots, peas and tomatoes are all growing well :D

Of babysitting tonight and then at a friends on friday night so hope to do some more ebay over the weekend.

Need to arrange to close my NW CC to.

Havent updated on the hossie for a while so I will share a funny story from last week.

My trainer is away for the month (great for moneysaving :money:) so am left to my own devices. So I decided to long rein her in the school so to keep up the momentum. I have never long reined before having this hoss so am still learning.

So we went into the school, she worked for 15 mins alternating between each rein really well, listened well, me feeling smug :D Then she decided she didnt want to do anymore. So did normal tricks of shooing her away, yelling, chasing, walking by her head and then dropping back and other techniques showed by trainer which worked well for a few minutes, then nope decided it was far too much effort and she would stand in the middle of the school.

Long story short I walked up to her behind and see if she would walk on but no so I ended up pushing her, yep you read that right I pushed my hoss round the school for a few strides :o:rotfl: Managed to eventually get her to walk nicely, over a few poles so we then quit on a good note. Luckily there wasnt anyone around at the time.

To say I was more knackered than she was is an understatement :rotfl:

Going to try again next week to see if we can do slightly better.

I'm so glad it's not just me who has these problems :rotfl::rotfl: The first time I tried long-reining Merlin, I got all the gear on, picked up the reins, asked him to walk on and he immediately dropped into a beautiful outline and walked off. We did a couple of changes of rein, halt, walk on again and everything was going fine....and then my husband got home and came over to the field gate to say hello. M power-walked over to him with me water-skiing along behind, at which point he worked out that I actually didn't know what I was doing and refused to budge. At all. His ears flopped sideways into proper Yellow Donkey mode and he even had the cheek to prop a hind foot and close his eyes!! We haven't really had another successful go at it since!

    Good morning :)

Ha Ha Caz am glad I am not the only owner being taken for a mug by their hossie :rotfl:

    Good things....

:) Sofa payment out today so now down to £450 owed
:) Ex sold a tablet to my sister she gave him £90, gave to me and I was going to transfer only, asked about the £30 for the life insurance (as joint policy but in my interest to pay it ) and he said to keep £50 and transfer £40. So have £90 cash at home. Going to use for food, treats, general spends.
:) In my bank I have transferred the £30 so now have £305 at target
:) All extra money to go to credit cards now
:) I am £160 OD with only around £80 of expenses to go out - fuel and account charge. I will need other spends but will use the cash at home so shouldnt be anymore into my OD before payday.
:) There may not be any extra left for overpayments this month but at least on a more even scale for next month
:) Got a bid on ebay, only 99p but all helps and a few watchers
