Hi everyone 21 days and today has been far the worst ! I have done well and resisted but has been mentally draining today forgot to put patch on this morning so this hasn't helped. Although they are zero nicotine ?
But I have succeeded another day OH is in the process also and finding it hard.
I think my next massive hurdle will be 3 month mark. I remember someone along time ago saying 3rd day 3rd week 3rd month. I think I need some willpower top up.
Good luck everyone. Xsealed pot challenge 099

Hello everyone hope you are all well
Welcome on board Mat_lock and good luck with your smoke free journey
June.Elizabeth and Shinner you'se are doing brilliant you both must be noticing a great difference to your health and finances
Sax11 how are you getting on? have you still cut down?
Laura you can do this, take small steps, small steps are better than no steps even if it is waiting longer between the cigarettes till you are ready to stop completely again. Try not to be to hard on yourself as we all know it is a difficult thing to do. Keep going.
We can do this everyone

Laura - champix were the worst thing i've used - if you can keep on them as they really do help with stopping - i quit using champix and am back in the old routine - make sure you have a full stomach when you take them, you'll find any sickness will be less
Is there anything else in your life that's making you feel rubbish so gives you a blase outlook on stopping?
Well done shinner on 21 days - i think now its only the mental side that wants to smoke, think all the chemicals are out.
Oh and debs - not cut down, gone back to how i was before BUT i do make sure i have none of an evening as i can't be bothered to walk in the rain to the shops to get some - so i suppose it's cutting down a bit0 -
Hi Sax11!! Hope your quitting journey is going ok?
I did take them after eating, purely for the sickness feeling. Im just finding it so tricky not to stop taking them and to keep smoking.
I have a packet at the moment, so the hope of stopping is slim, I am going to start up the last of my champix tonight, I have enough left to get me to the point of finding smoking repulsing again.
I think I was a little naive to think stopping would be simple.... its by far the hardest thing I have ever had to do.... along with the realising how bad my debt had got and forced myself to stop buying things and start paying it off.
The one good thing is I have not lost my very strong desire to stop! Onwards and upwardsTotal debt to pay: £14,071.41/ Remaining debt: £12,884.12: Amount Paid: £1,187.29

Thanks Debbie!!! It really is difficult isnt it? I have now realised....... the thing that forces me to start again is something as small as having a silly argument with the OH. It can be the smallest thing and when im not smoking it feels like the end of the world and I start up again!

Today I went shopping and my usual routine is to have a cigarette when I came out of the supermarket while my oh loads the car. I was standing at the checkout and had a sudden real strong urge for a ciggy so I went and got a packet of polos and walked past a smoker. The smell was so awful I felt sick guess that must be something to do with Champix. Anyway it took away the urge to light up. Maybe we should put cigarette butts in a drop of water in a container and smell it when those old cravings hit. I read that's a trick some people do. Anyway keep on trucking folks we will all get there.yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift thats why its called the present0

I am back on the champix despite hating how they make me feel! Taking one at night just before bed... it avoids the sicky feeling, but just gives me strange dreams instead.
Either way I am determined to kick this awful habit!
