I keep telling myself that I WILL quit so why shouldn't that be right now, Im just about to turn 25 so all the money I would spend smoking could go towards a mortgage and clearing my debts now!
I think its the best time money and health wise, I just need to sort out my willpower, because the minute I have a craving I give in.... its so silly!Total debt to pay: £14,071.41/ Remaining debt: £12,884.12: Amount Paid: £1,187.29

Didn't make it on Monday
It was so cold while I was out on Saturday night that I hardly smoked any until we were back at the house, I had about three left in the packet on Sunday when I came home and then dh went out to get himself some stuff and came back with a packet of 10 for me as he didn't know if I had any left!!:(
Bless him, I haven't said anything about quitting to him as I have failed miserably sooo many times that I thought I would just keep my mouth shut....obviously not my best plan after all!!;)
However, I had the last one of this 'surprise' packet this morning and I have no way of getting anymore as am stuck in bed feeling like total poo today, the nearest shop is over four miles away and I have no transport!! Not necessarily the best way to stop myself, but at least it will be effective
Thank you to everyone for the warm welcome and the inspiration:beer:

Have you been back to the clinic Laura maybe they will have some suggestions to help you with your quit. The important thing is not to give up giving up. You will do it, we all will, as long as the desire is there. I am so lucky that apart from a bit of nausea now and then I don't have any more side effects from the Champix. Have a good night.yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift thats why its called the present0

Hi hope everyone is well
I have been busy trying to write an essay tonight for my OU course and getting no where fast.
I have had another no smoking day and my skin is starting to feel better. Has anyone else noticed any health benefits from cutting down or giving up?
How did you get on today icontinuetodream?
I know what you mean Laurag89 about having a starting point. Mine used to be a Monday or a Friday or the first of the month. I just kept shifting it. I hope you find the strength to just say from NOW that's it, this is my starting point.
June.Elizabeth I am also noticing the difference in money, that I don't want to split a £10 note although it would never have bothered me to do it to buy cigarettes lol Good for you treating yourself I think we need to reward ourselves too.
Shinner thanks for that will I have a look and read up on them. The ones I use just now are 20mg I think
Keep strong everyone

Thanks June.elizabeth and debs2009 ! I haven't been back to the clinic yet I'm still using the champix from the last time I went to the clinic!
I'm still trying.... Finding it harder since I've let myself have one every now and again! XTotal debt to pay: £14,071.41/ Remaining debt: £12,884.12: Amount Paid: £1,187.29

Good girl for carrying on. You could go to the clinic for a chat or phone them up. That's what they encourage you to do in Norfolk if you are struggling. I have my advisers mobile number and can call her anytime. I have not had to do this but it's good to know I can if I am desperate.yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift thats why its called the present0

So do I Shinner don't know how long it lasts. It's not a craving for nicotine as that's all gone I think it's the habit ingrained in my brain. Anyway carry on the good work.yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift thats why its called the present0
